Pre-season kicked into action yesterday and it was the first friendly for Arsenal’s youngsters against Boreham Wood.
The National League side found themselves ahead after just three minutes when new signing Tyrone Marsh found the net after being bundled causing the ball to cross over the line.
Then around ten minutes later, Gunners fans started with their anti-Spurs chant “F*cking hate Tottenham” only for Boreham Wood to then silence them instantly as they doubled their lead to go 2-0 up.
Kabongo Tshimanga drove at the Arsenal defence, waited patiently before teeing up Piero Mingoia who slid under the keeper to get his debut goal.

The away fans continued make themselves heard, this time they target their owner by chanting We want Kroenke out”, this is all because of their fifth place finish in the Premier League table last season meaning they’ll face another season without Champions League football as well as a lack of money manager Unai Emery has had to spend.
Arsenal got themselves back in the game when Zech Medley set up Matt Smith who finished well into the bottom corner in the 40th minute.
The Wood’s two-goal cushion was quickly restored just before half time as Tshimanga teed up Adam McDonnell and his left-footed strike found the net. 3-1.

Halfway through second half, again Arsenal scored, substitute Tyreece John-Jules hit a low drive into the bottom corner.
The player again found the net and the Gunners’ equaliser this time from the penalty spot to set up a thrilling ending.
A winner however couldn’t be found and majority of the 2,766 fans who attended were left feeling happy with what they saw.
