After watching a video of Arsenal players completely ignoring their young mascot, fans flooded the reply section full of their own memories of when they or their child were a mascot for the day, many videos were also uploaded showing how clubs treat theirs….

My hearts in my mouth at this ,that poor kid ,probably been the highlight of his year to stand next to his hero's and they can't even lift their heads to him.not all their pay comes from sponsorships they need to remember that

Headphones, Hermes and Louis Vuittons, they only have enough headspace for those kinds of things. They should be made to take those off and take notice of the fans that supply them with their trinkets ?

@BarnetFC played away at Carlisle & the #Barnet manager at the time Martin Allen as the team come off the bus spotted a young Barnet fan and asked him to be mascot for the day as a thank you for making the journey north to follow the team and sure enough true to his word he did

Contrast this with @Coventry_City players and how they behave with kids. They ought to take a leaf out of @DomHyam_95 @ZainWestbrooke @MaxBiamou and @JodsJones ' book! #PUSB ??? pic.twitter.com/X0RMutk4Uu

This is disgusting from @Arsenal this is how it should be done, every single @MillwallFC player acknowledging my boy and made his dreams come true pic.twitter.com/GpTPtKIaFF

@TBEM80: It’s making me angrier the more I watch it.
@WASNAPPER: @Arsenal were always a club that had some class about the way they conducted themselves, this has really pissed me off this morning. It would have taken seconds to acknowledge that lad and make his day but these tossers seem to forget that young fans are the lifeblood of the game
@Anghara31941147: Imagine how excited he would’ve been at the prospect of possibly meeting some of his hero’s, and then this! I would be devastated as a parent of this child watching him being totally ignored! The sad thing is is he probably still idolises them ?
@Shane__Harris: He is all of us at the same age, bless you young man. Should support a league two side like me, the players force you to have a selfie with them ?
@huntywbafc: Absolutely shocking imo this is. He would her been looking forward to this for weeks and by this video the players look like they can’t even be bothered to even acknowledge he is there. @Arsenal hopefully u could do something for this lad as I bet he is gutted
@DazzHulsee: You could almost feel the boy hopin he gets at least a high five…? Through the powers of social media lets get this wee man the VIP treatment ?
@beansy1982: Just about sums up modern footballers really, giving nothing back to the game and taking everything, a little smile and a handshake would have given that kid a story to tell for life.
@Carl_Boro77: A fist bump or high five is obviously in the too hard box. Mind they’ve probably played twice in a week so they’ll be tired.
