VIDEO: Arsenal players filmed ignoring young mascot – angry chairman of non league side offers class gesture

A video has emerged showing Arsenal players completely ignoring a young mascot watching the squad arrive at Norwich City on Sunday.

Now this is one of the most exciting moments of the fan’s life, however all he ended up doing was watching them pass him without any acknowledgement made to him. You can see the video below…

How shit is this? Not one of the players took notice of the young mascot for the game at Norwich on Sunday, it would’ve only taken a second to acknowledge him to make the lads day. ?

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Shkodran Mustafi, Mesut Ozil, Alexandre Lacazette and Calum Chambers walk towards the dressing room and don’t even say hello or look at him.

The incident was caught by Norwich’s social media admins as they put the footage on their Instagram story.

George Cook grabbed the video and posted it on Twitter with the caption: “Stuff like this really does my head in. How hard is it to acknowledge your mascot?”

Before he added in a follow-up tweet: “To be fair, the next batch of players off the bus gave him a high 5 but no doubt the boy was excited by Auba, Lacazette etc.”

After watching the video, chairman of Epping Town named Chris Ottaway, made a class gesture to the young lad if the club or family were aware of the viral clip.

He wrote: “Absolute disgrace. I am the Chairman of Epping Town FC. You are most welcome to be our match day mascot at a game of your choice. Bring your parents, family and friends with you and be in the presence of great footballers who are nice men at the same time. DM me if interested.”

Just goes to show that young fans are more likely to get spoiled and have a much more welcoming experience at English Football League and at Non League clubs rather than some, not all Premier League sides.

Fans flooded the reply section full of their own memories of when they or their child were a mascot for the day, many videos were also uploaded showing how clubs treat their young supporters – see those tweets on the next page.
