An Arsenal fan is getting mocked this week after he called up a radio station claiming his side will win the Premier League.
The call, which was made to BBC Radio 5 Live, happened after the Gunners picked up a draw against North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
It finished 2-2 after Spurs had been 2-0 up thanks to goals from Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane before Alexandre Lacazette found the net seconds of the first half remaining.
Arsenal dominated after the break and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang got them back on level terms with 20 minutes left of what was a very entertaining fixture.
The full time whistle blew, fans and viewers didn’t want it to end, a winner couldn’t be found but a commentator said Tottenham would have been relieved to come away with a draw with Arsenal looked likely to have completed a stunning comeback if the game played on.
The result left Arsenal fans feeling joyous you could say, so much so that one fan called in and claimed they would win the league, as you do.
The Gunners supporter stunned Robbie Savage by saying: “I reckon we’ll win the league this season.”
Savage was left laughing, which angers the caller before arguing why they won’t and the pundit hits back by criticising his club’s defence.
Tom disagreed, adding: “In my opinion, compare us player-to-player with Man City and Liverpool we’re actually superior.
“Let me finish my point. The mentality hasn’t been there but the moment that clicks, we’ve got the passion they don’t have.”
Tom says David Luiz is a better player and than Virgil Van Dijk and prefers Mesut Ozil over Kevin De Bruyne!
Savage replied back: “You’d have David Luiz over Van Dijk, UEFA Player of the Year? You are on a wind up.”
Tom says: “I’d have Pepe over Salah. Salah just holds the ball has 20 shots a game and scores two.”
In the end Savage praises the caller for his opinion and made a promise to him that he would call him back at the end of the season.
