Arrests have been made due to the crowd trouble between Coventry City and Preston North End fans at and around the stadium arena.
Fabio Tavares got his first game in a Coventry City shirt in the 8th minute of injury time to secured the 10-man Sky Blues a last-gasp point against Preston who also finished the game with 10 men.
Daniel Johnson came so close to thinking he had earned Ryan Lowe’s men the victory with an 86th-minute penalty but 21-year-old Tavares was there to spark wild scenes with the last kick of the game.
Liam Lindsey and Fankaty Dabo had been given their marching orders within 120 seconds of each other as fans encroached onto the pitch before Johnson put the Lilywhites a goal to the good.

Both managers Mark Robins and Ryan Lowe were raging following the full time whistle, not just on the pitch invasions but for complaining about the amount of stoppage time added on too.
Coventry City’s assistant manager and Preston boss Ryan Lowe clashed in the technical area as the furious Lilywhites bench complained and took exception, Robins claimed, to their reaction to the goal and time added on, after which both Viveash and Lowe were booked by referee Keith Stroud.
“We celebrated a goal that I don’t think they wanted us to celebrate.
“I don’t think you’re allowed to score against them!
“I am sure he has complained about minutes added on because of people invading on the pitch – what a load of c**p, that is! Excuse my French.
“The people that came onto the pitch deserve everything they have coming to them because that is sacrosanct. Stay off the pitch!
“You earn the right to be on that football pitch; they haven’t earned the right to be on it. Stay off it. It doesn’t help anybody.
“That isn’t what contributed to the added time, that was because of the fouls, the sending offs and all those things that culminated in what was added on, not the other bits and pieces. That isn’t it, so I am not happy about that.
“They have to stay off the pitch. It’s ridiculous and it’s happening more and more frequently and they shouldn’t be allowed back in because that’s a disgrace. It’s an absolute non-starter, a criminal offence and they deserve everything they get.”
He added: “After that we celebrated, as you do, a goal right at the death where we got back into the game with a brilliant goal from a player who has been banging goals in left, right and centre for the Under-23s and then come in and done a fantastic job when he has been called upon in the first team and training with us regularly he has started to improve, and that will do him the power of good.
“But also, he’s earned us a point and that’s something he can be really proud of. It’s brilliant movement and finish and that’s what he’s got, so for him it is a huge stride forward with his first goal from a couple of cameo performances.
“Everything else was just emotion from the stands, the pitch and fighting for your team in a game you deserve to be in front of and the minimum we deserved was a point from that game.
“They can complain as much as they want to. Ultimately it’s a big point for us.”
Lowe said: “It was a hard one to take. When you put six minutes up for stoppage time and play 7.20 it’s definitely tough to take, but look, I thought the players were fantastic.
“I thought there was only one team going to win it and then we had a man sent off, go down the other end and get a penalty.
“I was disappointed with the way things were going after that, people running on the pitch and threatening players. It shouldn’t happen and the ref probably put six minutes up for that.
“We could have done better for the foul which led to the kid scoring a great goal but I am quite firm here, if it’s six minutes it’s six minutes, not longer.”

Preston North End police confirmed that there were some arrests made at the game…
…some of which included the pitch invaders who were seen running back into the stands which left many thinking they got away scot free.
As seen in clips within the article, trouble took place outside the ground, with alleged reports that a Coventry City steward threw a fence with the intention of hurting Preston fans.

Twitter users reacted on the arrests made due to crowd trouble between Coventry and Preston fans…
@adam_liddell: Some @Coventry_City ‘fans’ need to be ashamed!! Walking back to the car and fighting each other!! Had my 4 and 6 year old with me and got grown men fighting! One idiot kicking another lad and then stopped and realised he was fighting a Coventry fan! Twats!!!
@sam06pne: @Coventry_City ur fans are hooligans, respect for ur club has slid down in poor stewarding, policing and hooligans for fans
@paddypne: Stewarding today was embarrassing fans on the pitch outside the ground unnecessary aggression and laughing at throwing punches at our fans, policing also out of their depth ⚽
@HandysideChris: Ey… behaviour from both sets of fans were shocking there. But the reaction from Coventry stewards was provocative and that in turn made there police think they could do what they want…. Not a patch on @PNEPolice and how they handle situations… hoping for a response
@sophiehoward92: Lots of fights kicking off outside the ground, no police to be seen, pne fans being told to walk through crowds of home fans 👍🏼 #pnefc
@Conpne03: Enjoy your ban lads. And for what 😂🤦♂️
@7kesby1234: The state of them
@pne_rich: Chavvy cunts
@RCcfc90: The issue being at the @CBSArena is that both set of fans have similar routes towards the car park or transport, both sets of fans antagonise each other and then things kick off, stewards can’t do anything to stop it. Some fans called for lock in of away fans, but nothing 🤷♂️
@HelloItsKieran: Lots of scumbag fans it seems. Every club has them… seems to be a lot at Coventry today. End of month payday probably meaning they can top up on coke.
