VIDEO: Andre Dozzell sent off as QPR and Bournemouth players come to blows

Andre Dozzell ended up getting sent off as QPR and Bournemouth players come to blows towards the end of their league meeting.

Dominic Solanke scored the only goal of the game as the Cherries went back to the top of the second tier standings, leapfrogging second place Fulham.

Scott Parker’s side got a much needed Championship win at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium, but the rather forgettable match had one incident near the end of the match that got everyone talking.

Dominic Solanke and Yoann Barbet got themselves in a scuffle that was soon expanded with other players getting involved.

Andre Dozzell got a second yellow card following a lot of pushing and shoving, however fans have questioned how more weren’t punished.

WHAT THE MANAGERS SAID POST-MATCH

QPR’s Mark Warburton: “Some of the decisions I have to question. I thought it was a good game of football in terms of two teams going for it. There are fine margins in this league. How it was a free-kick [that led to the goal] I’m not sure. I’m very frustrated with some of those aspects.

“We weren’t at our best. But we were good enough to get something out of the game. I’m disappointed.”

On the red card:

“I saw decisions all afternoon. I appreciate the difficulty of the game. I appreciate how instantaneous their decision-making has to be, but I’ve got to question many things.

“We end up with young Andre Dozzell getting sent off which, again, I’m bemused about.

“I’ve got to see it again to try and understand it. He’s raging in the dressing room.”

Bournemouth’s Scott Parker: “I’m very proud of my team. The game we saw today is the Championship. You need to come with a certain ingredient and have something about you. I thought my team to a man had every bit of that, we played very well and had some very big chances.

“It was a lovely header from Dom, and fair play to him because he missed a big chance before that which he should put away. But he got enough on it to put it in the net. It was very pleasing.”

Twitter users gave their reaction after seeing Andre Dozzell get sent off as QPR and Bournemouth players come to blows…

@Robmatlee: Thing is, if Barbet had left Solanke alone on the floor, they could have played on. No injury, and yes it was time wasting, but completely brainless from Rangers.

@MatthewW1718: Yoann Barbet reminding me of Aboubakar Kamara carrying that guy off the pitch #qprbpu #ffc

@bartonj2410: A second prior to that Solanke was holding his head as if hit by a baseball bat yet seems fine here. Funny that.

@ManLikeBints: The way barbet picked up chelsea reject 😂😂😂😂
