An update has been given on hospitalised ex-Southampton and Everton boss Ronald Koeman who was rushed into surgery in Amsterdam due to “chest complaints”.
The 57 year old Netherlands manager has undergone “successful cardiac catheterisation” according to his management company.

The Dutch football association confirmed Koeman underwent a “successful cardiac catheterisation”.
In the update given, it’s said that he has had two stents inserted into blocked arteries, is in a stable condition and is expected to be released from hospital on Monday.
The KNVB said in a statement: “Ronald Koeman was hospitalised on Sunday evening after chest complaints.
“The 57-year-old national team coach of the Dutch national team has undergone a successful cardiac catheterisation and will return home tomorrow.
“We wish Ronald a lot of strength and improvement.”
A tweet from the KNVB added: “That is a shock. Fortunately things are going better again. Much strength and improvement, coach.”
Dutch national broadcaster NOS cited Koeman’s business manager, Rob Jansen, said the former footballer was feeling chest pain after a bike ride.
Koeman’s management have said he will now be resting in the coming days.
Premier League club Everton tweeted: “Everyone at #EFC would like to wish former boss Ronald Koeman a speedy recovery.”
