50 year old Jamie Cureton becomes first player to score in all of England’s top TEN tiers

50 year old Jamie Cureton becomes first player to score in all of England’s top TEN tiers, producing a stunner for Kings Park Rangers.

He came on the second half of the Eastern Counties League Division One North outfit’s game away at Dussindale & Hellesdon Rovers on Saturday afternoon.

He assisted for King’s Park Rangers’s third goal, then ended the half with a goal of his own, setting a new record.

King’s Park Rangers sit 2nd with 34 points from 13 games, and 7 points from leaders Holland who have 41 points from 16 games played.

KPR tweeted: “HES DONE IT!!!!! CURETON!!! @JamieCuro makes English football history by scoring in all 10 divisions of the English footballing pyramid. Like a fine wine. He gets better with age! ITS 4-1! Get in! @dussyroversfc 1-4 @KingsParkRFC

“The legend has completed football! 🔥 @JamieCuro has only gone and scored in every one of England’s top 10 tiers! 🤯⚽️

From @NorwichCityFC, @ReadingFC & @QPR to the mighty KPR @KingsParkRFC at 50 years of age Curo is still banging them in for fun. 💪 That’s what you call love for the game! ❤️”

Cureton wrote: “And there you have it the dipper 🎢⚽️ what a moment celebrating like it was my first ever goal #upthekings 🤴🏼⚽️ what a team

“What a moment History!!! Love this team they have given me so much joy in the last few weeks 👑⚽️ 🎢”

Earlier this month, he signed with his 25th club, having recently been sacked as manager of Cambridge City after a poor start to the season.

Cureton has already scored in all tiers except Step 6 and estimates his career total at nearly 400 goals, having lost count after 1,000 appearances.

The club welcomed him enthusiastically, noting his prolific record and the historic potential of the feat, and in his debut, he came off the bench in the 65th minute to assist in a 4-0 win over Diss Town.

Cureton expressed excitement about returning to playing after a brief managerial hiatus, while the manager confirmed no reservations about his age and outlined a simple tactic centered on getting the ball to Cureton for set pieces and open play to secure the record-breaking goal.

Jamie Cureton, 50, signs for 25th club of his career as he becomes non league journeyman

Here’s how fans reacted as 50 year old Jamie Cureton becomes first player to score in all of England’s top TEN tiers…

@Raycrud: Loan him out to step 11 quick.

@DeanParamount: Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy an amazing achievement. Remember presenting Jamie with his golden boot @OfficialECFC many years ago in a difficult end of season bash.

@FulhamTransfer: Never lose it Jamie! Some finish 👍🏻

@jimrollouk: Born to score goals…. This will never be repeated 🙌⚽️ congratulations mate. What a journey 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

@c_haynesbrown1: Met this guy 20 years ago.. I was at @ColU_Official as a scholar , man was scoring to take the club to the champ!! Fast forward.. nothings changed… hes at my club… half a century…. scoring bangers!!!! Make it make sense!!! Its just….. nevermind. 👑

@RefsJourney: Any 11th Tier clubs looking for a forward?

@IainTheGooner: That really is some achievement. Big respect @JamieCuro ⚽️⚽️⚽️👏👏👏 Probably won’t get much of a mention anywhere else but to all real footy fans it’s a remarkable thing 👍

@eadie11: 3 certainties in life: Death, taxes…… and @JamieCuro scoring goals

@mattcarlin12: Some people just ooze class fair play 🤣👍🏽

@Hunsy1969: Love that, what a strike from @JamieCuro 25 years ago he was doing the exact same for @ReadingFC 👏

@TrevorOakley1: This is mind-blowing. At 45 and 10 years after I stopped playing at a very amateur level (with arthritic ankles and knees) the concept of playing at step 6 at 50yo is just mind-bending. Jamie Cureton is an absolute machine.

@mattjohnson333: Bloody love @JamieCuro! It’s completely barmy that as a kid I was obsessed with the goals he was scoring at youth and reserve level for #ncfc , then the green hair. Always kept an eye on his career constantly banging goals in. Now I’m 40 and he’s STILL scoring. True pro!

@CleaveO: 50 year old Jamie Cureton. 👏👏👏 What a pro!

@brad_little11: Fair fucks Jamie Cureton is a serious name. PTSD in school from all the exeter fans

@leewilsonDRFC: How many times did we see that finish at Daggers!! 🤗

@DetritusBramble: Sensational though, it really is. You’d assume he could retire fairly comfortably but he’s having none of it. A proper Football League legend.

@Bryz777: Curo with a typically classy Curo finish. What a guy. #ECFC
