An update has been given on Anthony Malbon who collapsed mid-game with Kidsgrove v Avro subsequently being abandoned on Saturday.
The Northern Premier League West Division fixture had been paused on the 83rd minute with the scoreline goalless, and a decision was made to take the players off.
Kidsgrove Athletic FC said: “The match has been delayed as urgent medical attention is needed on the pitch.
“The game here at Kidsgrove was abandoned in the 81st minute at 0-0 due to a medical emergency.
“We will update you all when we get more information.
“We would like to thank @AvroFC for their support and understanding this afternoon, see you again soon.
“Following this afternoon’s on pitch collapse of Anthony Malbon we have been informed he is conscious and talking.
“We would once again thank everyone for their concern and support. I’m sure you will join with us in wishing Malbiniho a full and speedy recovery.”
Avro FC tweeted: “83’ The players are leaving the field due to a medical issue. We will update when we have more information. Kidsgrove 0-0 Avro

Anthony Malbon, 32, himself took to Twitter to reassure fans: “Would just like to thank everyone at @AvroFC for today! I can’t explain how greatful I am. And to everyone at @OfficialKAFC as well! I’ve had seizure on the pitch and got to get myself sorted! Will reply to everyone’s messages when I can but I’m overwhelmed with them all 💙💙”
