Two FA Cup Fourth Round ties picked to be shown on BBC Red Button

“Taking place between Friday 4th and Sunday 6th of February 2022, we have 16 ties across the weekend with six of those being selected for live broadcast in the UK on ITV and BBC and a further two games shown via the BBC Red Button service.”

Twitter users reacted with two FA Cup Fourth Round ties picked to be shown on BBC Red Button, and to keep in mind, the latest games chosen were what everyone was asking for on Thursday…

@neilhay3s: It’s a better mix of TV games than round 3 but there is still a fixation of showing every Man Utd and Liverpool game no matter who they’re playing.

@mallers01: Man United and Liverpool at home v championship opposition are poor choices. If they were away games, possibly…..

@HijGF: I think the Everton vs Brentford game would have been better served over United vs Middlesbrough or Liverpool vs Cardiff tbh.

@n_a_iwanicki: Admittedly it’s a weak line up, but I’d still rather Southampton v Coventry was on TV rather than Man Utd again. #FACup #EmiratesFACup

@SkyBlue_Am: We slipped through the TV net. 3pm Saturday kick off for Southampton sounds good to me #PUSB

@cufcsam: Fucking vamos moneyyyy

@ChesnoidGaming: Not quite the financial pay out we were necessarily hoping for from a 4th round FA Cup tie but IF we get through again, hopefully that’s when the proper pay day might come. Still made a decent amount this season from the FA Cup and Papa John’s tough i guess if we go out

@ramsaymatt: I, who wouldn’t have been able to make the game if it was a 3pm kick off, have celebrated this news nearly as much as Joe Ironside’s goal at St James’ Park

@LTFC_Dave: More drinking time for the travelling fans, bet the Cambridgeshire Constabulary are buzzing about that 😂😂😂

@OhWhenTheTown: A messy weekend in Cambridge you say? Oh go on then 😍

@KevCOYG: Clearly for the benefit of Chelsea with their trip to Qatar in mind. As usual, fans count for almost nothing, @EmiratesFACup. Are you aware some Argyle fans were stranded with no train home after the 3rd round match went to extra time? I think they’ve been messed round enough

@jamali1905: What about fans of chelsea who need time to get home and pack for our trip to Abu Dhabi??? We count too

@tpottage03: Gives us time to party in Trafalgar Square afterwards I suppose

@J_Harley007: Should be a 5:30 or a 3:00 appalling from the FA

@HarryHowells90: That stinks 🤮

@bradz72: Fans stitched up again 🤬🤬🤬

@PilgrimPetey: What is it with these bloody early away fa cup matches!! No thought at all for travelling fans!! 🙄

@Matthew_Smith_7: awful time for fans, to make matters worse GWR are doing railworks so theres a rail replacement bus service between plymouth and tiverton

@Odge1: Another ridiculous decision by the FA

@tommarkey6: Plymouth have been shafted for their whole cup run and still travel in decent numbers 👍

@KyleGatfield97: No care in the world for the fans.

@DanielJonKnight: Making fans leave 2.5 hours earlier for the fucking red button 🤮🤮

@bigbaldbowden: Absolute disgrace. Is it the @EmiratesFACup sole mission to make this competition as hard as humanly possible for Argyle fans? Assholes.
