Take a look at the transfer talk for the Premier League…

• Newcastle & Villa both in talks with Bournemouth over striker Callum Wilson. Newcastle trying to structure a deal that would include winger Matt Ritchie going in the other direction. Aston Villa also trying to buy Wilson, but their deal would not involve a player-swap.

• Middlesbrough have made a bid for Burnley defender Ben Gibson. (via Sky Sports)

• Tottenham are reportedly preparing a bid for 20 year old Barcelona B midfielder Lucas de Vega. Also wanted by Sporting Gijon, Malaga, Tenerife and Real Zaragoza. Impressed on loan at Segunda Division B side Cartegena. Has two more years left on his current contract in Catalonia and has a whopping release clause of €100million (£89 million) in the deal. However, in true Daniel Levy style, Spurs are looking to part with just €2m (£1.8m).

• West Ham are plotting a bold move to land German World Cup-winning star Mario Gotze. (Daily Express)

• Lionel Messi will be offered a two-year contract by Manchester City if they are able to prise him away from the Nou Camp. (Daily Mail)

• Crystal Palace are ahead of Leeds and Newcastle in the race to sign Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher on loan. (Daily Mail)

• Manchester United are considering a move for RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano as they close in on finalising their first transfer of the summer with the £39.3m capture of midfielder Donny van de Beek from Ajax. (Daily Telegraph)

• Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang reportedly rejected “two other bids” before agreeing to sign a new three-year Arsenal contract.

• Nottingham Forest full-back Matty Cash is close to a £15m move to Aston Villa. The player and Villa have already agreed personal terms. (Source: Independent)

• Leicester City are in negotiations with Atalanta’s Belgian full-back Timothy Castagne as a replacement for Ben Chilwell. (Sky Sports)

• An agreement between Everton and Real Madrid over the transfer of James Rodriguez could be less than 48 hours away. (Sky Sports)

• Ben White is on the verge of agreeing a new improved contract at Brighton. Leeds United have had three bids – £18.5m, £22m, £25m – turned down for the defender and now he’s expected to stay. (Source: Sky Sports)

• Clubs in Saudi Arabia and Qatar have expressed interest in signing Germany’s Mesut Ozil this summer, but the Arsenal playmaker, 31, has no intention of leaving London. (Telegraph)

• Tottenham have opened talks over a new contract for French goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, 33, despite signing Joe Hart on a free transfer. (Football Insider)

• Schalke are chasing Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, the 27-year-old Argentine who has also been linked with Aston Villa. (Sky Sports)

• Arsenal have agreed to send English centre-back Rob Holding, 24, on loan to Newcastle United, with the deal set to be completed this week. (Talksport)

• Celtic are closing in on a loan deal for Brighton defender Shane Duffy. West Brom and West Ham were also keen on signing the 28-year-old this summer.

• Rob Dickie is set to undergo a medical at QPR after the club agreed a deal with Oxford. Leeds United and Newcastle look set to miss out. (via @Sean_Gallagher9)

• Middlesbrough have re-emerged as the front-runners to sign their former defender Ben Gibson, after Norwich City and Nottingham Forest cooled their initial interest in the £15m centre-back. (Football League World)

• Rhian Brewster, one of the players Sheffield United have identified as a potential new signing, is expected to hold talks with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp before mapping out the next phase of his career. (The Star)

• Leicester City are the bookies favourites to complete a move for Burnley midfielder Dwight McNeil, beating off reported interest from Juventus, AC Milan and Wolves. (Various)

• Derby County are interested in signing Tyler Roberts from Leeds United as Philipp Cocu looks to add attacking width to his side. (The Times)

• Newcastle United manager Steve Bruce is reportedly interested in bringing Norwich City left-back Jamal Lewis to the club, according to the Daily Mail.

• Leeds United and Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly both interested in signing Shakhtar Donetsk centre-back Mykola Matviyenko this summer. Rated at £20m.
