• Aston Villa have had a bid of £15m plus £5m in add-ons rejected by Bournemouth for striker Callum Wilson. According to George Caulkin of The Athletic, Newcastle United have submitted a £17.5m bid for the player.

• FOREST. Had a bid accepted for APOEL defender Nicholas Ioannou. Around £750k. Player came through Manchester United’s academy.

• Huddersfield Town are closing in on the signing of Espanyol defender Gonzalo Avila ‘Pipa’.

• Greek website Sdna report 30 year old Olympiacos striker Miguel Angel Guerrero is close to signing for Nottingham Forest.

• Former Brighton, Forest, Huddersfield, QPR and Sunderland defender Joel Lynch is training with Charlton. Chance of him getting a deal when the club no longer under embargo.

• PRESTON. Had interest in Ferdy Druijf at AZ in Holland. Club aren’t prepared to sell. Have moved on to other targets.

• Bristol City are closing in on the signing of Alfie Mawson of Fulham with the 26-year-old looking to leave Craven Cottage for more first-team opportunities.

• Newcastle United may rival Sheffield Wednesday to sign up Colin Odutayo after he was released by fellow Premier League club Aston Villa, according to The Chronicle.

• Stoke City are thinking of adding to their overflowing centre-half stable with interest in Liverpool youngster Nat Phillips, according to reports. The 23-year-old defender spent last season on loan at Stuttgart in Bundesliga 2. Nottingham Forest, claim Goal, have “expressed a strong interest” but face competition from Bristol City, Middlesbrough, Millwall and Swansea as well as Stoke and “at least three European clubs”.

• Brentford are ready to sell two of their big name players following their failure to win promotion to the Premier League. The Daily Mail says that Brentford want £25 million for both Ollie Watkins and Said Benrahma, with Aston Villa, Fulham and West Ham interested. David Raya is wanted by Arsenal, and Rico Henry is wanted by Brighton and West Brom.

• Birmingham City have handed a trial to former Chelsea youngster James Clark. The right back played for the club’s Under 23s in Friday’s 1-1 draw with Derby County. Blues also fielded another triallist, Justen Kranthove, the defender was released by Leicester at the end of last season.

• Wigan Athletic captain Sam Morsy has been reportedly linked with a move to Championship side Middlesbrough ahead of the new season.

• Coventry City are in talks with Icelandic second division side Keflavík IF over the possibility of sending one of the Sky Blues most highly-rated teenagers – Jonny Ngandu, 18 – out on loan, Mark Robins has confirmed.

• Lazio are interested in a move for Bournemouth midfielder Jefferson Lerma as a replacement for the injured Lucas Leiva.

• According to Spormani, Galatasaray will return with another move for Lech Poznan winger Kamil Jozwiak despite reports claiming he is nearing a Derby County switch.

• Dijon are interested in Swansea City’s Bersant Celina. The Kosovan No.10 looks set to leave the Welsh club this summer after making a positive impact in his first season at the Liberty Stadium.

• Derby County have been linked with a move for Chelsea youngster Jake Clarke-Salter, who is weighing up his options with the Rams vying for the defender along with West Brom, Huddersfield Town, Birmingham City and Sheffield Wednesday.

• West Brom have held discussions with Ryan Fraser as they pursue a potential deal for the former Bournemouth attacker, according to 90min.

• West Ham are refusing to match Brentford’s £20m valuation of Algeria forward Said Benrahma, 25. (Telegraph)

• Rotherham United boss Paul Warne “would love” to bring Dan Barlaser back to the club if he is unable to break into Newcastle United’s first team. (Sheffield Star)

• Sabri Lamouchi’s Forest are also looking to agree a loan deal with Liverpool for former Rangers winger Sheyi Ojo. (Goal.com)

• Newcastle United have made a bid in the region of £15m for Norwich left-back Jamal Lewis, according to the Athletic journalist, Michael Bailey.
