• Bournemouth striker Josh King says it would be “amazing” if Manchester United renewed their interest in him after the 28-year-old Norwegian’s January move to Old Trafford fell through. (Star)
• Nottingham Forest have made an approach to sign left-back Nicholas Ioannou from APOEL Nicosia, valued at £750k.
• NORWICH. Agreed a deal with Burnley for defender Ben Gibson. Will be a season long loan. Norwich paying 70% of his wages and a £2m loan fee. Fulham are also thought to be keen in the 27-year-old defender.
• Stevenage are looking into signing former Northampton and Carlisle midfielder Jack Bridge, according to reports. The 24-year-old was offered a new contract by the Cumbrians at the end of last season but rejected the deal to stay at Brunton Park.
• Sheffield United and Swansea are both interested in loaning Germany youth international Leon Dajaku from Bayern Munich. The 19-year-old forward signed a four-year deal last summer at Bayern after joining from Stuttgart.
• Middlesbrough boss Neil Warnock’s hunt for a new striker has seen him make a move for Kenneth Zohore, TEAMtalk understands. The 26-year-old Dane finished last season with West Bromwich Albion, having previously been at Cardiff for three years where he and Warnock worked together.
• Blackburn Rovers have enquired about Stoke City right-back Tom Edwards. A trio of Championship and Premier League clubs are monitoring the 21 year old’s situation.
• According to Teesside Live, the Middlesbrough midfield trio of Ben Liddle, Connor Malley and Sam Folarin are all expected to depart the club on loan deals this summer.
• Southend United are looking to bring in Bournemouth centre-back Shaun Hobson, Echosport understands. The 22-year-old was on loan at Weymouth last season where he worked alongside Blues boss Mark Molesley.
• QPR could be set to snap up free agent midfielder Tom Carroll, who was last on the books at Swansea City. The ex-Spurs starlet is currently on a trial period with the Hoops. (West London Sport)
• Blackburn Rovers could turn to free agent goalkeeper Rob Elliot in their bid to sign another goalkeeper. The Republic of Ireland international was released by Newcastle United at the end of last season. (Lancashire Telegraph)
• Huddersfield Town striker Karlan Grant continues to be of keen interest to West Brom, and the Baggies look set to respond to an initial £16m offer being rejected by following up with a bid in excess of £18m. (Birmingham Mail)
• Sheffield Wednesday boss Garry Monk has revealed that “the door is always” open for Newcastle United winger Jacob Murphy to return to Hillsborough next season, but also hinted that the deal is looking unlikely. (The Star)
• Reports from Spain have credited Watford with an interest in Barcelona’s young midfielder Oriol Busquets. The 21-year-old impressed on loan with Dutch side FC Twente last season. (Sport Witness)
• Preston North End are said to still have an interest in Aston Villa striker Keinan Davis, and could look to swoop for the youngster once the Villains tie up a move for Brentford star Ollie Watkins. (The Sun)
• Steve Cooper revealed Swansea City are looking to do further business in the transfer window as he looks to bolster his squad. “We lost 11 players at the end of last season so we needed to bring some players in and we still need strengthening in some positions,” said the Swans boss. “We’re still in that process and it needs to go a bit quicker, but it was good that we got a few players in early as we had to get the ball rolling fairly quickly. We need some strikers, there’s no doubt about that and I’d like another centre-back as well. We’re hopeful that we can still do that.”
• Burnley’s hopes of signing Nottingham Forest’s Joe Worrall have been dealt a blow with City Ground boss Sabri Lamouchi insisting he wants to keep the defender.
• Aston Villa are reportedly in talks to sign Bristol City winger Niclas Eliasson. The 24-year-old had by far the most impressive season of his career last term, grabbing three goals and 13 assists for the Robins. Celtic, Lazio and Villarreal are keen.
• Swansea City manager Steve Cooper has confirmed that the club are yet to receive any sort of offer for captain Matt Grimes after reports surfaced yesterday suggesting that Watford were interested in securing his signature.
• Steve Cooper says Swansea City have not received a bid for Wales defender Ben Cabango this summer amid reported interest from Leeds United.
• Luton Town defender Brendan Galloway might be sent out on loan in a bid to get back to full fitness for the Hatters.
• Luton chief Nathan Jones has hinted that the club were priced out of a move for Spurs defender Cameron Carter-Vickers.
• Reading are eyeing up a move for Chelsea youngster Ian Maatsen, a left back, who is said to be in discussions with Royals over a potential loan move ahead of the new Championship season. First team experience needed.
• Barnsley have reportedly been interested in signing Doncaster Rovers midfielder Ben Whiteman according to Doncaster Free Press. Gerhard Struber says he’s an interesting player, but remained quiet on the rumour.
• Portsmouth are ‘unlikely‘ to offer former Swansea City winger Mason Jones-Thomas a contract despite his trial at the club.
• Oxford United have tabled a bid for an unnamed front man to help share the goalscoring load with Matty Taylor. Head coach Karl Robinson says this potential signing is ‘as good as it gets in League One’ and believes three more additions are needed before his squad is complete – a striker, a left winger and another left back.
• Hull City head coach Grant McCann hopes to add two more signings to his squad ahead of the new League One season once he has concluded a deal to sign Southampton defender Alfie Jones.
• Reports are linking Wolves midfielder Terry Taylor with a loan move to Blundell Park. The 19-year-old is also a Wales U21 international.
• Brentford face competition from FC Koln and other Bundesliga clubs for the signing of Robin Hack. The Germany youth international and Nuremburg winger is the Bees top choice to replace Said Benrahma if he leaves this summer.
• Crystal Palace, West Ham, West Brom, Norwich and Watford are among the clubs to have expressed an interest in 26 year old French defender Jean-Claude Billong, who is likened to former QPR and Blackburn star Chris Samba. He’s a dominating 6ft 4in central defender who many scouts believe would be very well suited to English football.
