• Bristol City are reportedly working to keep Pedro Pereira at the club. Not known if it’s a loan or permanent move for the 22 year old.

• Leicester City are interested in signing Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo, according to a report from French outlet Foot Mercato.

• Fanatik report Galatasaray are making progress with their efforts to sign Bournemouth’s Jefferson Lerma on a temporary basis.

• Sheff Wed. Windass move gets done if pay the money Wigan are due to pay Rangers. About 450k. (Alan Nixon)

• According to the Daily Mail, Blackburn Rovers had agreed a £900,000 deal for Wigan Athletic defender Cedric Kipre – but could now miss out to West Bromwich Albion.

• Watford captain and striker Troy Deeney, 32, has been offered to West Brom and Newcastle. (Mail)

• QPR are set to hold talks with West Brom target Bright Osayi-Samuel and West Ham eyeing Ryan Manning, with the club looking to resolve the pair’s futures as quickly as possible.

• Preston North End are reportedly moving closer to a breakthrough in contract negotiations with Josh Harrop, and could be set to keep the midfielder at the club on a new long-term deal. (Football Insider)

• Everton’s plans to sign Watford star Abdoulaye Doucoure could be scuppered, with reports claiming Ligue 1 giants Monaco could hijack the deal and bring the ex-Rennes ace back to France in a €25m deal. (Sport Witness)

• Ex-Middlesbrough defender Daniel Ayala has been ruled out as a potential transfer target for Bristol City, although the Robins are understood to be interested in Fulham’s in-demand right-back Steven Sessegnon (Bristol Post)

• Aston Villa and Leeds are said to be cooling their interest in Brentford sensation Ollie Watkins, due to fears over becoming embroiled in a bidding war. The £25m-rated forward is also on Fulham and Crystal Palace’s radar. (Sky Sports)

• Sheffield Wednesday are now in ‘talks’ with Korede Adedoyin after a successful trial, as per Sky Sports. He was previously on the books with Everton and scored 24 goals in 47 appearances for the Everton Under-18s, but became a free-agent when his contract expired in the summer.

• Celtic are interested in signing Preston North End defender Ben Davies this summer, according to Football Insider.

• Aston Villa are set to test Reading with a bid for midfielder John Swift. Sheffield United have identified Swift as a key target, alongside Nottingham Forest full-back Matty Cash, with The Star claiming that the Blades are pushing for Swift.

• Valencia are in negotiations with Watford over a move for midfielder Etienne Capoue, who was recommended to the club by manager Javi Gracia.

• The likes of Swindon Town and Dundee United are rumoured to be interested in striking a deal for Ipswich forward James Norwood, although it remains to be seen as to which club is leading the race to land his signature.

• According to Goal, Ben Woodburn has emerged as a potential target for Ipswich, although their interest has quietened recently.

• Sunderland, Huddersfield Town, Ipswich Town and Oxford are just some of the teams that are interested in signing Wealdstone forward and Love Island star Dennon Lewis, who is currently training with Charlton Athletic.

• Leeds United are currently falling short in their pursuit of Wigan Athletic starlet Sean McGurk as they look to add further to their raft of young players.

• Portsmouth assistant Joe Gallen has said that the club want two or three more signings before the transfer window closes. He told Hampshire Live: “I think it’s hard to say, but it’d be safe to say two to three extra players is what we’ve always maintained we would like but we don’t want a huge squad either. That will take a bit of work from ourselves in order to keep people fit as best as we can, it’s not always as easy as that. We would like two to three extra players to come in to complement our squad and we’re working on those as we speak. We’re working on those to try and make them happen.”

• League One rivals Plymouth have opened negotiations for the transfer of attacking midfielder George Cooper from Peterborough United. Argyle boss Ryan Lowe is hoping for compromise over the deal.

• Journalist Alan Nixon has revealed that Swindon Town are close to securing an agreement to sign Manchester United goalkeeper Matěj Kovář.

• Swindon Town boss Richie Wellens has recently refused to rule out a move for Brett Pitman, who has most recently been on the books with Portsmouth.

• Barrow are considering a move for veteran free agent Neil Danns, as per a report by the North West Evening Mail. The experienced midfielder is on trial with the Bluebirds and has played for them in a couple of pre-season friendlies.

• Birmingham City are reportedly closing in on the signing of former Middlesbrough midfielder Adam Clayton.

• Mark Warburton has told QPR’s website there is no prospect of the club spending on transfers after Ebere Eze’s move, so that he can ease the club’s financial struggles. Eze is joining Crystal Palace for £15m, with add-ons making the deal potentially worth around £19.5m.
