• Brighton are considering a move for Brentford’s Rico Henry, but they face competition from Leeds and Aston Villa.

• Nottingham Forest have rejected a £10 million bid from Aston Villa for Defender Matty Cash. Despite this, the Telegraph claim that Aston Villa are set to beat off competition from Sheffield United and Fulham to complete a £12m deal for the 23 year old.

• Sheff Wed. Windass is now officially close to being sorted. More money to Wigan and then to Rangers. (Alan Nixon)

• Reports from Portugal remain confident that Nottingham Forest will complete the signing of David Tavares from Benfica very soon.

• Watford are set to confirm the loan signing of striker Stipe Perica from Udinese.

• AC Milan are in talks over re-signing Bournemouth goalkeeper Asmir Begovic after having the 33-year-old Bosnian on loan as cover for Donnarumma for the second half of last season. (Telegraph, subscription required)

• QPR and Sheffield Wednesday, are reportedly interested in Rangers winger Jordan Jones, bringing the number of linked Championship teams to five. The 25-year-old had been told he was free to leave Ibrox amid interest from Middlesbrough, Stoke City and Blackburn Rovers.

• Everton are considering sending a player to Watford on loan for the 2020-21 season after the Hertfordshire club reportedly requested a part-exchange component to sweeten the deal for £35m rated Abdoulaye Doucouré. Watford. Wolves, Fulham and Hertha Berlin have all made offers for the 27-year-old.

• Besiktas have made an offer of €1m in an attempt to sign Senegalese midfielder Badou Ndiaye from Stoke City, it has been claimed in Turkey.

• Charlie Adam is in talks over a dream move with Scottish outfit Dundee, weeks after appearing on trial with Bolton Wanderers.

• Coventry City are showing an interest in making a summer move for West Bromwich Albion youngster Sam Field, according to BirminghamLIVE. QPR, Huddersfield and Barnsley also want him.

• The agent of Slovenian international Jaka Bijol has suggested that Blackburn Rovers are one of the clubs to have bid for the CSKA midfielder. However he’s been given a pricetag of £2.5m would could prove a stumbling block for the Championship side.

• Coventry City boss Mark Robins is interested in making a summer move for Manchester United midfielder James Garner, according to Football Insider. Huddersfield also interested.

• Birmingham City have reportedly registered their interest in signing QPR goalkeeper Joe Lumley according to West London Sport.

• Speaking to talkSPORT (quotes via the Northampton Chronicle and Echo), Preston North End striker David Nugent has confirmed he has spoken to Keith Curle about a potential move to Northampton Town. Talks are looking good.

• Peterborough United have confirmed on their official club website that former Sheffield Wednesday and Burnley midfielder George Boyd has been transfer listed by the club along with George Cooper, Jason Naismith and Louis Reed.

• Derby County are among a number of clubs to have been linked with a move for Doncaster Rovers captain Ben Whiteman. Blackburn and Barnsley also want him.

• Celtic, Stuttgart and FC Cologne are all interested in signing Preston North End defender Ben Davies on a pre-contract in January according to The Sun’s Tom Barclay.

• Bristol City winger Jonny Smith is set for loan move to Swindon Town after Wycombe Wanderers offer is rejected.

• Peterborough United co-owner Darragh MacAnthony hasn’t ruled out a return for Portsmouth and Sunderland-linked attacking midfielder Sammie Szmodics, currently at Bristol City.

• Portsmouth have set their sights on signing defender Connor Ogilvie, 24, from Gillingham this summer, Football Insider understands.

• Arsenal have reportedly identified Brentford goalkeeper David Raya as a replacement for Emiliano Martinez. (Daily Mirror)

• Hull City have made a third and final bid for Rochdale midfielder Oliver Rathbone, who was formerly in the youth ranks at Manchester United.

• Doncaster Rovers are set to sign Wolves defender Cameron John on a permanent basis, as per a report by the Daily Mail. Barnsley and AFC Wimbledon miss out.

• QPR goalkeeper Dillon Barnes is closing in on a loan move to Hibernian, as per a report by the Scottish Sun.
