• Chelsea have opened talks over an ambitious move for AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, according to reports.

• Brighton are considering a move for Brentford’s Rico Henry, but they face competition from Leeds and Aston Villa.

• Ivan Rakitic would be open to a move to Tottenham Hotspur this summer, according to reports in Spain. Sevilla however are strong contenders to sign him.

• Arsenal, West Ham and Leicester could have the opportunity to sign Samuel Umtiti on loan from Barcelona, claims a report.

• Nottingham Forest have rejected a £10 million bid from Aston Villa for Defender Matty Cash. Despite this, the Telegraph claim that Aston Villa are set to beat off competition from Sheffield United and Fulham to complete a £12m deal for the 23 year old.

• Reports claim Leeds United have won race for €14.5m Freiburg defender Robin Koch – Expected to ‘get on plane’ on Saturday to sign a contract. Newcastle were also keen.

• James Rodríguez has reached an agreement with Everton on his personal terms. He’ll sign a 3-year contract worth €4.5m-a-year.

• Tottenham are keen on 20 year old Barcelona midfielder Lucas de Vega, and he’s also interested in signing for them.

• Arsenal ‘very interested’ in midfielder Amadou Diawara – ‘At least €25m + bonuses’, ‘wouldn’t say no’ to Emirates move.

• Leicester City have been linked with stunning move for Barcelona striker Luis Suarez. Juventus, Ajax and MLS clubs are also ‘interested’.

• Lionel Messi’s father has told Paris St-Germain that the Barcelona and Argentina forward, 33, wants to join Manchester City. Messi called Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola last Tuesday – before telling Barcelona he wants to leave – and told him ‘I want to win the next two Ballon d’Or awards, and I can only do that with you’.

• Chelsea could also push their summer spending over £250m after considering making £80m offer for West Ham and England midfielder Declan Rice, 21. (Sun)

• Republic of Ireland right-back Matt Doherty, 28, will have a medical with Tottenham on Saturday after they agreed to pay an initial £12m to Wolves. (Football London)

• Everton are considering sending a player to Watford on loan for the 2020-21 season after the Hertfordshire club reportedly requested a part-exchange component to sweeten the deal for £35m rated Abdoulaye Doucouré. Watford. Wolves, Fulham and Hertha Berlin have all made offers for the 27-year-old.

• Coventry City are showing an interest in making a summer move for West Bromwich Albion youngster Sam Field, according to BirminghamLIVE. QPR, Huddersfield and Barnsley also want him.

• Coventry City boss Mark Robins is interested in making a summer move for Manchester United midfielder James Garner, according to Football Insider. Huddersfield also interested.

• Arsenal have been offered two Atletico Madrid stars – Thomas Lemar and Vitolo – as part of the LaLiga side’s bid to sign Alexandre Lacazette.

• West Ham are preparing to challenge Leeds in the race for Shakhtar Donetsk defender Mykola Matviyenko. The 24-year-old was one of the key players in the Shakhtar side that reached the Europa League semi-finals this summer.

• Arsenal have reportedly identified Brentford goalkeeper David Raya as a replacement for Emiliano Martinez. (Daily Mirror)

• Leicester City are leading the transfer race to sign 23 year old Monaco defender Fode Ballo-Toure.

• Fulham are close to finalising a permanent move for Southampton midfielder Harrison Reed.

• Fulham are also close to signing Southampton midfielder Mario Lemina.

• Fulham will begin discussions over a new contract with Joe Bryan to ensure he stays at Craven Cottage, according to reports. Leeds and Leicester have previously been linked wit him.

• According to a report from the Express, Southanpton and West Ham are interested in signing Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer this summer. Neil Lennon is open to letting him go.

• Newcastle and Sheffield United are keen on signing Liverpool forward Rhian Brewster, with the Reds willing to let the forward leave on loan.

• Doncaster Rovers are set to sign Wolves defender Cameron John on a permanent basis, as per a report by the Daily Mail. Barnsley and AFC Wimbledon miss out.

• Leicester City recently sanctioned the sale of left-back Ben Chilwell to Chelsea in a deal worth £50m. The east Midlands outfit have identified Ajax’s Nicolas Tagliafico and Atalanta’s Robin Gosens as potential replacement options. Both players are valued at around £40m and the Foxes are reluctant to pay the fee (Sky Sports).
