• Huddersfield forward Karlan Grant has told the Terriers that he wants to join Premier League side West Bromwich Albion, according to The Express & Star. The Baggies have identified Grant as their number one target before the domestic-only window closes on October 16. However, Huddersfield are demanding at least £16m for their strikers’ services – who is ‘eager’ to move to the Hawthorns.

• Newcastle United, Burnley and Nice are interested in signing Ryan Christie from Celtic in the January transfer window, according to The Scottish Sun. It has been reported that French club Nice value the 25-year-old midfielder at £10 million, but they hope to get him at a cheaper price in January.

• According to Tuttosport, Juventus rejected offers from Everton, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leicester City for Merih Demiral as they consider him a future pillar of the team.

• Huddersfield Town defender Terence Kongolo hopes he can move to Sheffield United before the conclusion of the domestic transfer window.

• Sheffield United have taken the Canada youth international Aribim Pepple, according to his club, Cavalry FC. It is claimed that Pepple will spend two weeks training with the Blades, with a view to signing a permanent contract at Bramall Lane.

• Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in signing 19 year old Bayern Munich midfielder Angelo Stiller, according to a report. Stiller is yet to make his debut for Bayern’s first-team. But the holding midfielder does look set for an incredibly bright future.

• Ed Woodward turned down the chance to bring Erling Haaland to Manchester United last January after refusing to succumb to a request from super-agent Mino Raiola, as per a report.

• West Ham are in advanced talks over a deal to sign winger Said Benrahma from Brentford for £30m. (Sky Sports)

• Arsenal are preparing a January move for an impressive young midfield talent after seemingly being put off Houssem Aouar

• Jack Wilshere would be willing to consider a reunion with Steven Gerrard if the Rangers boss decides to make a move for his former England team-mate, the PA news agency understands.

• Juan Mata has received a lucrative contract offer from the Middle East worth around £11.5m per year. (Daily Express)

• West Ham are ready to double Declan Rice’s wages to £120k-a-week after pricing the midfielder out of a Chelsea transfer. (The Sun)

• Reported Leeds target Todd Cantwell will be available for £20m from Norwich City, according to The Athletic. David Ornstein said: “Todd Cantwell from Norwich – many Premier League clubs have shown interest in him. We’ve talked about him on this video before and in my Monday column. Norwich would want around £20m for him. I think Fulham have held some level of talks, also Leeds United have been heavily linked – (he’s a) really good player and prospect.”

• Liverpool are interested in signing Jack Butland from Stoke City before the summer transfer window in England closes this month, according to The Mirror.

• Bournemouth striker Josh King is a target for Premier League side Aston Villa, as they look to clear their wage bill in order to raise funds for the Norwegian. West Ham United are also keen. Villa are ready to get rid of Anwar El Ghazi, Frederic Guilbert and Henri Lansbury by the end of next week, to clear money for a late push for the Cherries forward.

• Manchester City youngster Joel Latibeaudiere is in talks with Reading and Norwich City, according to the Manchester Evening News .

• Crystal Palace are preparing to make a £30m bid for Watford star Ismaila Sarr as Roy Hodgson looks to bolster his attacking options before the closure of the EFL transfer window.

• Newcastle are expecting Christian Atsu to go out on loan with Watford and Nottingham Forest eager to sign him on a temporary basis. The Ghanaian winger is currently surplus to requirements, so Steve Bruce is looking to sanction his loan departure along with Achraf Lazaar, Henri Saivet and Rolando Aarons to reduce his wage bill and save around £100,000 per week this season.

• Bournemouth striker Josh King is a target for Premier League side Aston Villa, as they look to clear their wage bill in order to raise funds for the Norwegian.

• Leicester City have joined Tottenham in the race to sign £20m rated Swansea centre back Joe Rodon, according to reports. The defender was the subject of a late deadline day £7million bid, plus add-ons, from Spurs who are understood to still be keen on the 22-year-old.

• Arsenal are set to loan out highly-rated centre-back William Saliba to either Watford or Brentford in a bid to help him with set-pieces, according to ESPN.

• West Ham United are competing with West Bromwich Albion for Watford striker Troy Deeney, according to The Daily Star. It has been reported that West Ham have inquired about signing Deeney before the summer transfer window in England closes this month.

• Watford are prepared to ‘listen to offers’ for Craig Dawson, as detailed in a report by The Athletic. West Ham United are keeping tabs on him as they look for another centre-back and could throw him a Premier League lifeline. Burnley are also in the frame and may seek to lure Dawson back up north.

• According to The Sunday Mirror, West Ham United are interested in signing Preston North End defender Ben Davies. Watford’ Craig Dawson is one option, seemingly more so than Swansea City’s Joe Rodon right now, but Davies is also a player on Moyes’ wish list.

• Borussia Dortmund turned down a surprise enquiry for Nico Schulz from Manchester United on deadline day, according to a report.
