• Andre Ayew’s proposed move to Brighton from Swansea has reportedly hit a snag due to his eye-watering £90,000-a-week wages. (Daily Mail)

• The domestic transfer window slams shut on Friday, and Southampton could still reportedly add Stoke City’s Jack Butland to their ranks.

• David Moyes wanted the bulk of his transfer budget spent on a centre-back, with Brentford forward Said Benrahma never a priority target for West Ham. (Daily Star)

• Leeds United midfielder Robbie Gotts is set to join Lincoln City on loan. Swindon and Doncaster were main rivals at the end. Lincoln put best deal on table.

• Derby County winger Florian Jozefzoon has agreed terms over a season-long loan move to Rotherham United and is expected to seal his move today.

• West Brom have agreed a fee worth around £15m to sign striker Karlan Grant from Huddersfield. (Sky Sports)

• Blackburn have today made an approach for Leeds defender Barry Douglas over a loan move. Watford also remain interested in the left-back.

• West Ham United reportedly remain interested in signing striker Josh King despite Bournemouth rejecting their £13 million offer for him last weekend.

• Liverpool have formally rejected Swansea’s loan offer for Harry Wilson.

• Bristol City midfielder Joe Morrell is undergoing a medical at Luton Town ahead of a permanent move to Kenilworth Road.

• Sunderland hoping to bring in a new centre-back before the transfer deadline on Friday, but as widely reported they’re operating under strict financial rules and parameters.

• Sheffield Wednesday have rejected a bid from Brentford for midfielder Barry Bannan. The 30-year-old’s contract is up in the summer.

• Blackpool midfielder Jamie Devitt has agreed to join Newport County on loan.

• Charlton have made a six-figure bid for Boreham Wood winger Sorba Thomas. The 21-year-old is one of the hottest properties in non-league. He came through West Ham’s academy, and has also been tracked by QPR and Barnsley.

• Gabriel Osho has agreed to join Luton Town on an initial two-year deal. He rejected a new deal at Reading earlier this summer. Osho started five games for Reading at the end of last season, and earned himself a a place in the Championship team of the week.

• Eddie Clarke has left Fleetwood after his contract was terminated by mutual consent.

• Newcastle United appear to be working to find a way to offload Rolando Aarons before Friday’s deadline passes, with the Daily Mail reporting that the Magpies have held talks with Huddersfield Town over a potential move.

• Derby County are interested in signing former Blackburn Rovers striker Colin Kazim-Richards before the transfer window closes on Friday, according to the Daily Mail.

• Cardiff City are approaching the final 24 hours of the domestic transfer window, and the club are still keen on bringing in a forward and a full-back before Friday’s 5pm deadline.

• Kenneth Zohore could end up staying at West Bromwich Albion, with the Daily Mail reporting that his potential move to Sheffield Wednesday is in doubt.

• Aston Villa and Premier League rivals Leeds United have been credited with an interest in Norwich City playmaker Emiliano Buendia ahead of Friday’s 5pm transfer deadline. (Daily Mail)

• Middlesbrough will not be signing Danny Rose ahead of tomorrow’s EFL transfer deadline. A number of reports have emerged suggesting the Teessiders have made a loan offer for Rose, who is keen to leave Tottenham after being informed he does not have a future at the club under Jose Mourinho.

• Kenny Jackett revealed Pompey are looking to bring in one more addition before the transfer window slams shut. A late swoop for Millwall’s Ben Thompson before the 5pm deadline remains very unlikely – but not impossible. Wolves forward Niall Ennis is another on the wish list. Jackett admitted that while no new arrival is imminent, the Blues have multiple targets identified.

• Celtic target Alfie Doughty has been urged to sign a new Charlton contract by Addicks chairman Thomas Sandgaard. Desperate to tie down one of his brightest prospects, and insists Doughty is expected to be sticking around at the Valley. Could lose him on a free next summer.

• Charlton midfielder Albie Morgan is not set to get a loan move before tomorrow’s transfer deadline. Best chance is a move to non league after the window.

• Swindon manager Richie Wellens was keen to add to his squad, but now admits that is an unlikely prospect – having brutally admitted he is ‘sick’ of discussing potential incomings. “We’re not speaking to anyone at the moment, so I probably wouldn’t expect anyone to come in before Saturday,” he said. “We can get a free agent after Saturday, but they need to be paid up by their parent club. It’s only a short window until January, but there’s 18 games or so in that time. We’ve got a big enough squad to cope, defensively. Defensively, we’re ok, but in midfield I think we’re short. And now Brett Pitman has pulled his groin and he’s out for a month. Now we’re short on out-and-out strikers as well.”

• Doncaster Rovers handed ended their interest in Leeds United midfielder Robbie Gotts due to financial reasons, according to the Mirror.

• Aston Villa midfielder Henri Lansbury has been tipped to secure a Villa Park exit amid speculation linking him with a move to Nottingham Forest before Friday’s transfer deadline.
