• AFC Bournemouth are demanding £20m for striker Josh King as Aston Villa line up a £16m swoop for the 28-year-old, as per Football Insider.

• Brentford winger Joel Valencia is having a medical with Legia Warszawa ahead of a season-long loan. Needs regular games. No option or obligation in the deal.

• Middlesbrough set to sign goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli from Fulham. The 28-year-old has agreed a season-long loan and will travel to Teesside on Tuesday.

• Barnsley. Close to a deal for Jack Aitchison. Ex Celtic. Been to Forest Green.

• Speaking to London News Online, Charlton Athletic boss Lee Bowyer has said that the club have received and rejected a bid from Celtic for young star Alfie Doughty.

• Crystal Palace are leading the chase for Queens Park Rangers winger Bright Osayi-Samuel, TEAMtalk understands. The 22-year-old has just 12 months left on his current deal and has rejected their offers of a new deal.

• Charlton are looking to sign Manchester United midfielder Dylan Levitt on loan. (The Daily Mail)

• Middlesbrough may sell goalkeeper Aynsley Pears, with his contract due to expire next year. (The Daily Mail)

• Ross County have turned down two offers for striker Ross Stewart. Head Coach Stuart Kettlewell says the club has rejected the approaches for Stewart, believed to be from Rotherham, describing them as “nowhere near the valuation of the player”.

• Liverpool have been linked with a move for Ismaila Sarr, whose current contract with Watford will expire in 2024, the African attacker could cost as high as £50m according to some reports. (Various)

• Derby are keen to bring in a winger/wide attacker and a striker and will use some of the £11m from the sale of Jayden Bogle and Max Lowe to Sheffield United to bolster their squad. (Derbyshire Live)

• Celtic’s Jack Aitchison has been linked with a permanent switch to Barnsley, with reports suggesting the Championship outfit are close to agreeing a deal for the youngster, who spent the second half of last season with Forest Green. (The Sun)

• Atdhe Nuhiu has claimed that he has held talks with Sheffield Wednesday over a potential new contract with the club that would see him return to Hillsborough. (FLW)

• Brentford goalkeeper David Raya has reportedly told the Championship club he wants to join Arsenal as the Gunners continue to pursue him. But the transfer is being blocked.

• Derby County are closing in on a deal to sign Lech Poznan winger Kamil Jóźwiak according to RozmowaRMF.

• Michael O’Neill is planning on challenging Harry Souttar to force his way into the Stoke City first team this season, in what is a blow to Portsmouth’s hopes of getting him, as per the Stoke Sentinel.

• Leicester City have jumped ahead of Manchester United in the race to sign Bournemouth winger David Brooks this summer. MEN Sport understands that Brooks expects to receive an offer from Leicester in the coming weeks, with United still prioritising a move for Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho.

• According to The Express & Star, West Bromwich Albion are interested in signing Andre Gray from Watford in the summer transfer window. The Hornets are open to a loan deal. The 29-year-old striker made seven starts and 16 substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Hornets last season, scoring two goals in the process.

• Derby County are lining up a move for Wigan Athletic defender Nathan Byrne, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.

• According to reports in Romania, FC Dinamo București are set to move for 31 year old Middlesbrough keeper Tomas Mejias Osorio.

• Sheffield Wednesday manager Garry Monk has revealed he’d like a couple more signings between now and the end of the transfer window, as quoted by the Yorkshire Post.

• New Watford boss Vladimir Ivic says he wants more signings as the club gears up for the new Championship season. The Serbian boss admits he wants to change the mentality of the squad as they look to bounce back from Premier League relegation and return to the top flight at the first attempt. Players are reportedly privately already complaining about the new boss.

• Mark Warburton is aiming for a few more signings in the near future at QPR as he looks to put the finishing touches on his squad in W12, as quoted by West London Sport.

• Swindon Town and Dundee United have both cooled their interest in Ipswich Town striker James Norwood, East Anglian Daily Times understand.

• MK Dons boss Russell Martin has poured cold water on rumours linking former Burton Albion midfielder Scott Fraser.

• Southend United have rejected an improved offer from Rochdale for striker Stephen Humphrys, Echosport understands. MK Dons have joined the battle.

• Willem Tomlinson has left League Two side Mansfield Town by mutual consent. He had the option in his contract taken up by the Stags in the summer, but has now found himself on the hunt for a new club after leaving Field Mill. Was on trial with Accrington earlier in the summer.
