Table-topping West Bromwich Albion are preparing a January bid for the Dinamo Zagreb star Mislav Orsic, according to reports in Croatia.

Sunderland are in pole position to sign Rangers‘ Greg Docherty following the player’s talks with Phil Parkinson, according to The Athletic. Reports elsewhere claim Charlton are keen.

Birmingham City have joined the pursuit of Brescia midfielder Leonardo Morosini who has also been on enquired by Brighton.

Leeds United could send young striker Ryan Edmondson out on loan this month.

Fulham are one of a number of clubs plotting a move for Rangers defender Connor Goldson.

Middlesbrough have agreed a deal with Swiss Super League side St Gallen to sign goalkeeper Dejan Stojanovic.

Nottingham Forest are again lining up a deal for French midfielder Ilyas El Khabchi.

– Aston Villa, Leicester, Newcastle, West Ham and Wolves will have to slap in a bid of more than £20m if they want to sign Hull‘s Jarrod Bowen to help solve their striker crisis. The Championship side have not received a concrete bid in the current window or when the transfer market was open for business last summer.

– Matej Vydra has reiterated his desire to leave Burnley in search of first team football. A number of sides are looking at him, both at home and abroad. Many want the player on a loan deal – but Vydra and Burnley, if the offer is right, would prefer a permanent move. Birmingham are credited with interested.

– Derby County defender Curtis Davies has triggered a 12-month extension to his contract, while Craig Forsyth also has a 12-month extension but this could depend on the number of games he plays this season. Mason Bennett is also in talks over a new contract.
