Arsenal make website gaffe accidentally ‘confirming’ player’s loan move to Bristol City

Arsenal have made a gaffe on their website by accidentally ‘confirming’ their player’s loan move to Bristol City.

That player is forward Eddie Nketiah, who recently had his season long loan spell at Leeds United cut short over a lack of game time.

The 20-year-old has been put back onto the market for another loan and Aston Villa, Bristol City, Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest have all entered the race to snap him up,

The Robins may have won the race for his signature. A graphic which has since been taken down appeared on the Arsenal website on Tuesday night, picturing Nketiah alongside the Championship club’s badge with the caption ‘on loan’.

The move is still to be officially confirmed by Arsenal and Bristol City.

There was suggestions that he could potential stay at the Emirates this month after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was handed a red card during the Gunners’ 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace for a shocking foul on Palace’s Max Meyer.

However, boss Mikel Arteta was forced to play down the claims Aubameyang’s suspension affected Nketiah’s future.

Arteta said: “It didn’t before and at the moment we have to think medium to long term with Eddie, we have to respect his evolution, his development, and we don’t have to make decisions just based on two or three games I think”.

THE TWITTER REACTION:
