• Portsmouth have blocked loan offers from Bolton Wanderers and Southend United for forward Reeco Lee Hackett-Fairchild.
• Fulham have opened talks to re-sign Huddersfield Town defender Terence Kongolo.
• Omar Bogle’s return to Grimsby ‘highly unlikely’ according to Ian Holloway. The frustrated figure was released by Cardiff this summer.
• Charlton Athletic striker Macauley Bonne has been the subject of a second transfer bid from QPR, talkSPORT understands. They will have competition for his services though, with Barnsley and another Championship side also extremely interested in Bonne.

• Derby County boss Phillip Cocu is keen on free agent Jordan Ibe. The Rams manager remained coy on how close a potential deal is. The former Liverpool attacker left Bournemouth in the summer. (Various)
• A host of Championship clubs are battling it out for Manchester United starlet James Garner. A move to Huddersfield has been ruled out, while Sheffield Wednesday could be in pole position with Welsh duo Swansea City and Cardiff City no longer in the running for the 19-year-old. (Manchester Evening News)
• Former Derby County defender Cyrus Christie is set for a move to Nottingham Forest. He was part of Fulham’s promotion winning side last campaign but could stay in the Championship. (BBC)

• Watford midfielder Etienne Capoue could still leave the club despite complications surrounding a potential move to Valencia as reported by Spanish outlet Super Deporte.
• Swansea will have to wait for a potential move for Viktor Gyokeres. The Brighton forward is set to be assessed by Graham Potter before a decision on his future is made. The Swans are keen for the Swedish striker to replace Rhian Brewster. (Brighton Independent)
• Rotherham boss Paul Warne hasn’t given up hope of signing Newcastle’s Dan Barlaser. “He’s still Newcastle’s player, and they’re using him. If he doesn’t get included in the 25-man (Premier League) squad at the end of the month, then I’ll move very quickly to get him here. His dream is to play for Newcastle – he’s been there since he was nine. I’m not going to be the one to break that dream – that’s why I have been pretty quiet. I’ve kept my distance, and I still will, but if he doesn’t make the 25-man squad, and he becomes available, then if I can buy him, I will do. At this moment in time, I’m watching with baited breath to see how it goes. I texted him the other day to congratulate him on his win against Blackburn. We’ll have to watch his space.”
• Preston are set to lose defender Ben Davies to Celtic, but not until next summer. The 25-year-old is wanted by the Scottish giants and Bournemouth but Celtic could hold off paying any fee by securing the player on pre-contract in January. (Scottish Sun)
• Manchester United and Liverpool are set to battle it out for Watford ace Ismaila Sarr. The £36m-rated attacker arrived at the Hornets for £30m. United are believed to have made contact while Liverpool are weighing up a bid. (Various)
• Swansea City manager Steve Cooper has offered an update on transfers at the club and says they are looking for more attacking options, though nothing appears to be close. “There is nothing to report on any possible ins or outs. I think we need to get a few additions at the top end of the pitch, that hasn’t changed. We’ll look to improve if we can but if not we’ll work with the players in the building.”
• Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson says the club are interested in signing Brentford attacking midfielder Said Benrahma.
