• Chelsea boss Frank Lampard will try and offload Kepa Arrizabalaga this summer and the Blues will consider a loan for the Spaniard.
• John McGinn expects Aston Villa’s owners to spend big again this summer. He said: “I think everyone is aware we need quality added. We obviously spent a lot of money last summer and we may need to go and do it again. We can’t get complacent and think everything is alright now. It was a poor season overall, we know that, both us as players and I am sure everyone upstairs is fully aware of that. There will be changes, I am sure of that. The ones who know what this club means, know what it means to play here, need to get that across as quickly as possible to whoever comes in.”
• Tottenham are edging closer to a deal to sign Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg from Southampton.
Liverpool have reportedly ended their interest in Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Adama Traore. Manchester City, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus have all been credited with an interest in Traore in recent months.
• Manchester United are keen on Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, but could face competition from Chelsea and Tottenham.
• Liverpool are interested in signing 20-year-old Schalke centre-back Ozan Kabak, who has previously attracted interest from Manchester City, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund. (Daily Mail)
• A host of clubs are tracking Ryan Bennett after Leicester decided against signing the defender permanently. The Foxes had the option to buy the centre-back for £5million but he will now return to Wolves, the PA news agency understands.
• Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho has asked Arsenal for more time to make a decision about his future, with Leicester City and Tottenham also interested in the 28-year-old Brazil attacking midfielder. (Sport, via Metro)
• Inter Milan could offer winger Ivan Perisic to Manchester United in a bid to keep on-loan forward Alexis Sanchez permanently. (Football Italia)
• Bayern Munich are reportedly interested in signing Norwich right-back Max Aarons in a bargain deal this summer.
• Tottenham are reportedly facing a battle with West Brom to sign €20m striker Vedat Muriqi wanted by Jose Mourinho this summer. Napoli and Lazio are also keen.
• West Ham, Alkmaar and Rangers are reportedly considering signing former Manchester United youngster Dion McGhee. The 19-year-old forward is a free agent after he was released by United earlier this month.
• Celtic are close to agreeing a deal to sign West Ham striker Albian Ajeti on loan with an option to buy. (Sky Sports)
• Leeds United have fended off competition from the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham to sign Linfield’s Charlie Allen. (Yorkshire Evening Post)
• Manchester United are preparing an improved contract for Dean Henderson, however the goalkeeper will seek a move elsewhere if they cannot assure him of a first-team spot. (Manchester Evening News)
• Manchester City are set to sign Wales Under-21 defender Cameron Coxe on a free transfer after the 21-year-old was released by Cardiff City. (Wales Online)
• Aston Villa playmaker Jack Grealish is a target for Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but the 24-year-old England midfielder has been made aware he may not be able to start every week if he does make the switch to Old Trafford. (Independent)
• Chelsea want winger Willian to stay at the club, but he is unlikely to be offered a three-year contract and there is a growing expectation he will sign for Arsenal. (The Guardian)
• Bielsa favourite Nicolás González is expected to cost ‘around €20m’ as Leeds face strong competition for the striker.
• West Ham’s bid for 23 year old River Plate defender Gonzalo Montiel is set to be made in ‘coming days’ – ‘Tough’ negotiation ahead.
• Mikel Arteta has made a promising start but he needs major backing in the transfer market from the owner. He’s changed culture at Arsenal and made progress on and off the pitch. Arsenal are a good team but to be a great team again, they need to spend to close gap to the top sides.
• Arsenal star Sokratis has told Mikel Arteta that he does not want to leave the club this summer.
• Borussia Dortmund have rejected a €98m bid from Manchester United for forward Jadon Sancho. (Bild)
• Leicester are ‘preparing a €14m offer’ for potential James Maddison replacement in Bordeaux’s Yacine Adli – West Ham following him ‘diligently’. Goal however claim Maddison has agreed a new four-deal that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2024.
• Crystal Palace are prepared to listen to offers for unsettled winger Wilfried Zaha this summer.
• Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho has been warned he won’t be the only one trying to sign Callum Wilson from Bournemouth if he is made available for just £10m.
• Atletico Madrid have rejected Arsenal’s second bid for midfielder Thomas Partey, according to the Guardian. Atletico have turned down the Gunners’ latest advance and will only listen to offers that meet the 27-year-old Ghana international’s £45.5m release clause.
• Former Leicester defender Matt Elliott says he doesn’t expect the club to lose their big players, despite their failure to secure Champions League qualification.
• Millwall and Preston are leading the chase for Ben Heneghan after his release from Sheffield United. The central defender has spent the last two seasons on loan at Blackpool where he made 80 appearances.
• Everton are facing stiff competition from clubs in Italy and Germany to sign former Chelsea winger Jeremie Boga for around £13m. Manager Carlo Ancelotti was interested in signing the Sassuolo wideman during his time at Napoli.
• Manchester City midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru is having a medical at Sheffield Wednesday. Personal terms yet to be agreed.
• Derby County, Fulham and Norwich City are eyeing Charlton Athletic forward Macauley Bonne, who only signed for Charlton last summer but after netting 11 times in his first full season, he is now attracting interest with his current club heading back to League One. The 24-year-old frontman is under contract until 2022 at The Valley.
• West Brom will bid to try and sign midfielder Filip Krovinovic on a permanent deal this summer, according to the print edition of Portuguese outlet A Bola.
• Leeds United have been named the 3/1 favourites to land Argentina wonderkid Thiago Almada, ahead of Man Utd (8/1), Man City (9/1) and Arsenal (14/1). The Velez youngster has a £20m release clause. (Oddschecker)
• Celtic are now firm, 4/5 odds-on favourites to land Joe Hart this summer, ahead of the likes of West Brom (4/1) Birmingham City (8/1). Hart has recently left Burnley upon his contract’s expiry. (Sky Bet)
• Freddie Woodman has held positive talks with Newcastle United over a potential return to Swansea City next season, WalesOnline understands.
• Daryl Burgess has urged West Bromwich Albion to go out and sign Watford striker Troy Deeney this summer, as Slaven Bilic looks to bolster his attacking options.
• Peterborough United co-owner Darragh MacAnthony has dismissed a report linking his club with a loan move for highly-regarded Wolves youngster Owen Otasowie. MacAnthony said ‘there was absolutely no truth’ in a story that appeared in several news outlets. Luton and Coventry were also listed as keen.
