• West Brom. Making a major final bid to do Karlan Grant from Huddersfield. Odd structure to deal but may work. Other foreign options on hold.

• Torino have opened talks with Bournemouth to sign Josh King. (via @FabrizioRomano)

• Reading were so close to signing Atletico’s Riquelme that he’d been staying at their hotel… now it seems he’s going to Bournemouth.

• 26 year old Bodo/Glimt striker Kasper Junker is linked with Derby County as the Rams search to boost their attacking options before the transfer window closes. Norwegian tabloid newspaper, VG, and Eurosport are reporting that Derby, Barnsley and German side Wolfsburg have made enquiries about the player.

• Everton are set to lodge a £25m bid in an attempt to sign Norwich City defender Ben Godfrey. The 22-year-old is in high demand, with Fulham also believed to be on his tail. (Football Insider)

• Swansea City and Reading have been tipped to go head-to-head in the race to sign AFC Wimbledon striker Joe Pigott. The 26-year-old has scored 29 goals in 95 league appearances for the Dons. (Mirror)

• Turkish side Trabzonspor have been linked with a surprise move for Preston North End midfielder Alan Browne, who could be sold for around £3m. His admirers are managed by ex-Chelsea assistant Eddie Newton. (The 72)

• Manchester United are said to have little interest in pursuing deals for either Josh King or David Brooks, and will instead chase an out-and-out winger rather than the Bournemouth pair. (MEN)

• Reports from Scotland have linked Sheffield Wednesday with a move for Ross County striker Ross Stewart, but the Owls are said to have competition from the likes of MK Dons and Shrewsbury Town to seal the deal. (Daily Record)

• Middlesbrough’s hopes of signing Liverpool defender Nathaniel Phillips on loan look to be over, as the player has suffered an injury that could keep him out until Christmas. He’d also been linked with Swansea and Millwall. (Goal)

• According to Football Insider, several teams both in this country and abroad are interested in taking Liverpool attacker Liam Millar on loan for the rest of the season. QPR, Blackburn Rovers and Rotherham United are among them, as well as the likes of Millwall, Stoke City and teams abroad like Rayo Vallecano and PEC Zwolle.

• Blackburn Rovers forward Adam Armstrong says he would love to see more signings come through the door at Ewood Park.

• Celtic will make a bid for Bristol City’s Niclas Eliasson in the near future, but only if they fail with their third bid for Charlton’s Alfie Doughty according to the Scottish Sun.

• Seattle Sounders’ 25 year old forward Jordan Morris is a name rumoured to have interest from Preston North End.

• Nottingham Forest defender Tobias Figueiredo is ‘keen’ on a return to Portugal, as detailed in a report by The Athletic.

• Former Burnley youngster Marley Blair is set to find out if he has done enough to earn a contract at Sheffield Wednesday.

• Watford have joined a handful of Italian clubs in chasing AS Monaco’s Antonio Barreca. Barreca, who has not featured for Monaco this season, made 19 appearances in all competitions with Genoa last season.

• Sheffield United youngster Regan Slater appears set to join League One side Hull City. The Tigers accidentally leaked the news on their iFollow account, with a picture showing Slater in a City tracksuit posing for a picture inside the KCOM Stadium. (Various)

• Peterborough United are keen to offload attacking midfielder Serhat Tasdemir but only on a temporary basis. League Two side Oldham Athletic are the only Football League club to have enquired about Tasdemir so far, but the clubs have not reached an agreement over the player’s wages. • 20-year-old forward Benji Kimpioka is on the verge of signing his new Sunderland contract. (FotbollSkanalen)

• Sunderland target Mateo Bajamich is set to be announced as a Houston Dynamo player imminently, ending Phil Parkinson’s hopes of signing the attacker. (Sunderland Echo)

• Portsmouth are among several clubs in the hunt to sign midfielder Jake Doyle-Hayes on a free transfer after his exit from Aston Villa. However, Blackpool, Hull City, Doncaster Rovers and MK Dons are also thought to be interested. (Football Insider)

• Stan Asomugha has joined Charlton Athletic on a trial basis as Lee Bowyer looks for more ways to add to his side in the final weeks of the window, as per the Sunderland Echo.
