Check out the transfer talk for the Football League…
• West Ham have reportedly reached an agreement worth an eventual £30m to bring in-demand Brentford winger Said Benrahma to the club. Fulham and Newcastle set to hijack that deal.
• West Ham have also seen a £13m bid for Bournemouth’s Joshua King rejected. Everton also interested.
• Newcastle are open to allowing four first-teamers to depart on loan, with a former Chelsea winger attracting the greatest interest thus far. Henri Saivet, Rolando Aarons and Achraf Lazaar have all been deemed surplus to requirements. Most attention is ex-Chelsea winger Christian Atsu. Nottingham Forest and Watford have thrown their name into the hat for Atsu’s signature. Though are deemed unlikely to be open to paying the player’s wages in full.
• Sheffield United and Leicester will reportedly rival Tottenham for the signing of Swansea and Wales star Joe Rodon before Friday’s EFL deadline.
• Cardiff are in talks over a move for Barnsley’s Cauley Woodrow. There has been contact between both clubs with regards to signing the player on a permanent deal this week. Fits the bill for the Bluebirds’ recruitment department, is 25 and can be deployed either as a striker or in the No.10 position.

• Gary Rowett is still hoping that he can add to his Millwall squad before Friday’s transfer deadline. Adding to their forward options is another area where the SE16 outfit could strengthen before the cut-off at the end of this week.
• Millwall manager Gary Rowett says there are no “imminent” plans to loan out Ben Thompson. Portsmouth wantt the 25-year-old midfielder back on loan. Rowett said: “I’ve seen a lot of speculation at the Portsmouth end and the reality is some of the headlines have over-played the situation a little bit. They have obviously enquired because Thommo did really well for them and they’ve seen he has not been in our starting line-up for the league games, apart from the first one. Thommo is a valued member of our squad who works incredibly hard. I thought he was really good in the first half against Burnley. He wants to play at Millwall. But he also wants to play. I’m aware of that. There is no imminent plan but I always try to balance everything off. If we end up making two or three signings, there will always be one or two who desperately want to play football.
