Bolton Wanderers, Blackpool and Exeter City are among a number of clubs eyeing former Coventry City defender Jack Grimmer on a free transfer.

Peterborough United are in talks to sign Rochdale central midfielder Callum Camps, Football Insider understands.

According to The Daily Mail, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Everton are interested in signing Billy Crellin from Fleetwood Town in the summer transfer window. The Toffees have already had a £200,000 bid rejected.

Burnley are setting up a £7million swoop for Denmark Under-21 ace Joakim Maehle. Clarets are also interested in his Genk team-mate and midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi along with Leeds midfielder Mateusz Klich.

– Lee Bowyer says that Jonny Williams is no nearer to signing a contract at Charlton after fans had hoped some social media activity had hinted at a deal being close. Leeds, Derby, Swansea, Brentford, Luton also been linked with him this summer.

Charlton boss Lee Bowyer is keen to bring in “one or two” new signings next week. He said: “We’ll look to bring in one or two [new signings] next week. We know we need to bring in seven or eight, so there’s no getting away from that fact, but we’re working hard every single day. No doubt I’ll go home from here and then I’ll be watching players, and I’ll speak to Steve Gallen [Charlton’s head of recruitment] and see if there have been any developments on things that we’re inquiring about. But we’ll get there. We know what we need to strengthen the squad and I’m not taking anything away from the lads that we have here because they’re great as well.
