Portsmouth’s match away to Havant & Waterlooville was halted briefly yesterday afternoon after a fan legged it onto the pitch.
A packed out Westleigh Park witnessed the supporter run onto the playing surface, only to then grab a selfie with Pompey defender Christian Burgess.

The moment, which was amusing for many, came in the 74th minute with the scoreline at one a piece.
Gareth Evans broke the deadlock in the 44th minute with a penalty straight down the middle…
? Only one outcome ?

…before their National League South opponents then found a leveller 11 minutes after the break when Roarie Deacon drilled a shot into the bottom corner.
With 15 minutes left on the clock, that’s when Burgess had a selfie take with a fan and then Brett Pitman found the net with 10 to go.
After the game, pitch invader Joe Ainsley apologised, but also that he was adamant on getting that photo. He said: “Sorry @Pompey but getting a selfie with @Burgey44 is all I cared about.
“Yeah sorry lads but couldn’t resist seeing big bastard burge up close and personal.”
Ainsley continued in separate replies: “He actually found it quite funny when I spoke to him and Craig after the game.
“Honestly cannot remember what I said on the pitch ahaha but after the game the pair of them were sound laughing and joking asking how much I was paid to do so.”
He was chucked out but added “thankfully I knew the copper”.
After reading that the Pompey fan ran on the pitch and had the selfie with Christian Burgess, fans took to give their reaction, the majority amused – find out what they wrote on the next page.
