Tottenham player Danny Rose manages to gets himself arrested by police officer in the early hours of Wednesday morning reports confirm.
The 30-year-old was under arrest this week for dangerous driving after suffering a high-speed crash at 4am on the A45 in Northampton.
Luckily however, he managed to escape the crash unhurt despite his car losing a WHEEL and suffering severe damage.
A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police said: ‘We can confirm a 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving on the A45 in Northampton shortly after 4am today.
‘The suspect is currently being held at a police station in the county and, as such, it would be inappropriate for Northamptonshire Police to comment further at this time.’
One of the wheels came off the car in the incident and Rose’s rear bumper was also left hanging off.
Police attended the scene and Rose had to take a breathalyser test. His result was negative but he was arrested and taken to a Northamptonshire police station for further questioning.
He was examined by medics before they determined he was well enough to be quizzed by officers.
Why Rose was in the area on Wednesday is unknown. Spurs, who are high flyers in the Premier League table, were in action at Stoke, winning 3-1 at the Championship side to earn a place in the Carabao Cup semi-finals.

Rose opened up this year on his experiences in wider society, saying he was first stopped by police as a 15-year-old and it was still happening to him at 30. “My friends have been there with me a lot of the time when it’s happened,” he told the Second Captains podcast.
“The last time, last week, when I’d just been at my mum’s house, I had pulled up in a car park so the engine was off. The police pulled in and they brought a riot van, three police cars and they questioned me. They said they’d had a report that a car had not been driving correctly.
“So I’m like: ‘OK, so why does that make it my car?’ I got my ID out and they breathalysed me. It’s just one of those things to me now. What can I do? Fifteen years of this on and off the field happening and there’s no change whatsoever.”
Rose described being stopped by police as a regular occurrence. “Each time, it’s: ‘Is this car stolen? Where did you get this car from? What are you doing here? Can you prove that you bought this car?’”
Rose hasn’t been with the senior team after being frozen out by manager Jose Mourinho, with whom he clashed last season over his lack of game-time.
Rose had quickly fallen out of favour with Mourinho following the manager’s arrival 13 months ago and spent the second half of the campaign on loan at Newcastle. A permanent deal for him on Tyneside didn’t materialise.
Confirmation there was no way back for him came when he was not given a squad number by Spurs ahead of this season, and he has seen summer signing Sergio Reguilon replace him as first choice left back.
Rose was also left out of both Premier League and Europa League squads. He has been capped by England 29 times since his debut in 2016.
On Wednesday night, a Tottenham spokesman claimed to have no knowledge of the incident.
A source said: “He apparently smashed his car into a central reservation.
“The car was very badly damaged and only had three wheels. He was lucky to get out of it alive.
“He was breathalysed but was nowhere near reaching the alcohol limit but the officers at the scene arrested him for dangerous driving and were concerned about his condition.”
Another player who smashed up a car recently was Jack Grealish of Aston Villa.
CCTV footage shows the shocking moment that Jack Grealish loses control of his £90k Range Rover, which was shown in court this month.
The 25-year-old Aston Villa and England player was handed a nine-month driving ban and hit with a £82,000 fine at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court after he pleaded guilty to two offences.

Grealish smashed into three parked vehicles in Solihull on the 29th of March before getting into trouble on the 18th of October after travelling at speeds of up to 98mph on a 70mph limit motorway of the M42.
He smelt of alcohol and was slurring his words and unsteady on his feet after the crash in March, it is claimed. Read more on that by clicking HERE.
