Fans were left stunned this week after discovering that three Championship clubs are interested with a move for Sami Khedira.
Despite not being called up by Andrea Pirlo for any of the games of the 2020/21 season, the 33 year old German central midfielder has recently reiterated his intention is to stay in Turin until the termination of his contract with Juventus at the end of the season.
However, several clubs are keen on trying to sign the world champion during the winter transfer window because, on the other hand, Khedira has just recovered from an injury and can’t wait to return to playing football.

According to the Italian site Calciomercato.com, there are three teams from the second tier of English football who are really keen on signing him in January.
Those three Championship clubs interested in Khedira are Bournemouth, Watford and Norwich City, all of them were relegated at the end of last season and are looking for a quick return to the Premier League. All three clubs sit within the top three of the Championship table.
Khedira could easily be more likely to find a top-tier club, perhaps the last one before his retirement, but could also be interested in spending some months in a side which is fighting for promotion and then playing in the Premier League in the 2021/22 season.
In recent months, the German midfielder has turned down offers from Bundesliga and Major League Soccer sides, but with the opening of the winter transfer window, he could be tempted by new opportunities.
The Serie A giants are hopeful that a January exit can be arranged so they can save up to €3 million in wages if they can terminate Khedira’s contract in January.
Everton have been the most linked side to the Juventus outcast and the player himself hinted that he’ll be open to a Premier League move if the opportunity arises.
He also admitted that he has remained in contact with Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti and Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho since the time they both coached him at Real Madrid.
Juventus’ Sami Khedira on his future: “If it is possible, it will be a really big dream and honour to be a part of the Premier League. There are many coaches that I respect. Ancelotti wants to reinforce the midfield and add experience in the spine of the team, so you can see why Khedira is viewed as the solution. However, the Toffees won’t find it easy to sign Khedira as competition continues to grow for his services.
Sami Khedira said a few weeks back: “When I was a child it was always a big dream of mine to be a Premier League player,” Khedira told Sky Germany.
“I am really happy and satisfied with my career until now but one thing is still missing because I always had this dream and it has never come true… to be a part of the Premier League.
“I have watched so many Premier League games since I was young [but] even now I am following the Premier League a lot.
“I enjoyed always to play with my teams to play in the Champions League against the English clubs. The atmosphere, the style and idea of football has always impressed me.
“If it is possible it will for sure be a really big dream [come true] and honour to be a part of the Premier League.”
He says his former boss Jose Mourinho remains the best manager he has played for.

Asked why he held the Portuguese in such regard, Khedira said: “Because of his personality, He is always honest, direct, clear in his mind and a great coach.
“Many people talk about him [being] too defensive but he is a winner, he is a champion. That is why he impressed me the most.”

If khedira joins Norwich he’s be a good bit of lacking experience. If his wages aren’t too high I’d take him on a short deal

If Sami Khedira’s career trajectory ends up as “Real Madrid, Juventus, Norwich” then this is all the validation I need that we’re a big club 😂
