We take a look at the THIRTY-FOUR upsets produced in the FA Vase First Qualifying Round, which were played out over the weekend.
For many non league sides, they played their first competitive match since having their season halted in March then deemed null and void with some many missing out on promotion, playoffs and avoiding relegation.
Matches from the first qualifying round of the knockout competition went ahead over the last few days, but with a difference.

Due to coronavirus lockdown rules, some ties were played behind closed doors or restricted amount of spectators, though for some clubs, they had their biggest ever attendance.
There were astonishingly thirty-four (34) upsets in the FA Cup Preliminary Round, and a fair few were settled by a penalty shootout.
The highest scoring shock came at Peterborough Northern Star (tier 5 of the non league pyramid), but it was the hosts that lost out 7-0, which was caused by Mulbarton Wanderers of the Eastern Counties League Division One North (tier 6 of the non league system)
It was the winning team’s third attempt at trying to reach the second qualifying round, and they went and done it in style.
What was more impressive is that there were seven different scorers, and was also joint-managers Danny Self and Ben Thompson’s 100th victory of their tenure at the club.
100 WINS
The milestones did not stop there as yesterday’s impressive win was also our 100th of the @SelfyDan @btommo84 tenure in all competitions. #MWFC pic.twitter.com/ZyoNjB01MB

Four time FA Vase winners Whitley Bay also ended up getting knocked out at the first hurdle of this season’s competition, losing 4-1 to Newcastle University.
Josh Hammett put the Uni in front after eight minutes, before Jamie Dunn got the Bay an equaliser on the 15th minute from the penalty spot.
On the half an hour mark, Hammett got his and the club’s second of the afternoon, putting it in the bottom corner, then Browne make it 3-1 with six minutes to play of the first half.
It was came over by the 61st minute, when Chilufya scored from close range, making it 4-1 and to dump out Whitby.
Whitley 1 Newcastle Uni 4. In an uncertain world, some things remain a constant. Death, taxes, and getting knocked out the Vase at the first qualifying round. Entirely outplayed. pic.twitter.com/9lBLTHZcBW
