The 23-year-old has slammed some of those in the away end for the troubling scenes towards the end of the Gunners’ 2-0 win.

In the following post, the striker posted a statement that read: “This kind of behaviour is not acceptable in a stadium.
“I bring my friends to enjoy a game, and it gets ruined by a few silly people.
“Football should be a place where everyone feels safe and respected.
“This type of attitude has no place in the game and is simply not tolerated in football.
“My friends and the people who were attacked had to be escorted by the Arsenal club’s security staff as well as the police because of fears of retaliation from our supporters.”
It’s currently unclear as to why Barry’s friends were attacked by Everton supporters.
Police have since opened an investigation to look in the matter, with Merseysdie Polic posting on X: “Aware of videos circulating online of an altercation in the away section towards the end of the Arsenal-Everton match.
“We’re working with the Met Police to investigate.”
The Toffees meanwhile have stated: “Violent or disorderly behaviour is completely unacceptable and has no place in football.
“It does not reflect the passionate and loyal support Everton receives both home and away.
“The club will work with the relevant authorities to establish the facts and take any appropriate action.”

Everton boss David Moyes, speaking to BBC MOTD: “Absolutely cruel – the players didn’t deserve that tonight. We put in a good shift and did a lot of good things, but we just didn’t get quite over the line – disappointed.
“We tried to strengthen it up with boys going down with cramp, but the nature of the [first] goal.”Jordan [Pickford] gets a bit of it, but he should probably get a bit more of it, but we must not forget the amount of great saves he has made for us.
“I don’t think we deserved to go down to that type of goal. I think he had one good save in the first half, but it was offside, I think. I think their goalkeeper [David Raya] had a couple of brilliant saves.
“That one was sore because we felt as if this one was we could come here and challenge a lot of the top teams. The other part of me says ‘I want us to go again’. We are going to have to win games like this if we’re to keep ourselves in the top half of the league.”
Moyes, speaking to Sky Sports: “Really, really disappointed that we didn’t get something from the game.
“We definitely worked hard enough and earned it. Jordan [Pickford] could maybe do a bit better with the goal, but Jordan has made unbelievable saves for us that have won us games. Today we just needed it at the last minute when we needed him. Other than that, there are no problems at all. Lots of praise for the players.
“I thought Raya had more saves than Jordan tonight, and he kept a couple of great saves. The bigger thing for me was the block [Riccardo Calafiori]. It tells you a bit about how good they are defensively. They are wholly defending that goal. So you have to praise them for that.
“I thought both boys [Jake O’Brien and Michael Keane] done brilliantly well. Arsenal started the game brilliantly well, and they were right on it. But we did enough to keep them out and sort of got into the game a little bit.”
On aiming for Europe: “It was a challenge for us to see if we could step into it and really test Arsenal. We have pushed Arsenal close in the two games. We are close enough to be thinking about it, but I am right up for the fight and the players are as well. We are going to win some big games in order to achieve it.”
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, speaking to BBC Sport: “It was unbelievable. With all the time we invest, all the effort, all the commitment we give to our passion, which is this incredible game called football – to experience those moments, the energy of the crowd, the happiness, the joy.
“Looking at my staff and the players, the joy in their eyes is just something really special. I think we just witnessed one of the best moments we’ve had here at the Emirates and I’m sure for many years people will remember ‘I was at the Emirates that day when the 16-year-old kid got the ball on the halfway line and went all the way through to score the goal!'”
On the celebrations: “[It shows] how much we want it, how much desire we have to go and achieve what we want to achieve. You can feel it every single day and we’re all going to give everything we have to make it happen.
“Hopefully, day by day, we can earn it.”
On if the belief was there at 0-0 late on: “You have to. We have so much ability, so much belief and especially so much desire to do it. The energy has to turn for us at the right moment. The crowd kept believing and so did the players.
“We deserved to win the game but this is football and the manner that we did it is probably the best one.”
On Max Dowman: “That’s what I see every single day, a player that is not fazed by the occasion or the opponent or whatever the situation is.
“He changed the game. What he’s done at 16, not only the goal, but how he accelerates every action, the decisions that he takes is just incredible.
“It was incredible for him, for the team, for his family – for all of us related to football. To trust those kids when they have the ability, the talent and the courage to play this game is beautiful. He’s made history today.”
On what the win says about Arsenal: “Everyone that started, phenomenal. The finishers again made such a difference. All of the bench, you see the reaction and how they live the game, that willingness they have to be part of this and win what we want.
“One more game. That’s what we had to do, that was our duty and we managed to find a way to do it.”

Arsenal goalscorer Viktor Gyokreres, speaking to BBC MOTD: “Very big of course, we score so late and, of course, we know it is very important for us to win these kinds of games. It was a good feeling afterwards.
“We always believe that we can win the games. To do it again was a great feeling.
“I don’t mind those. It was a very nice goal.”
On tension in the stadium before the goals: “Of course, it is understandable when the result is like that, and you don’t know where the game is going to go. How the atmosphere was after those goals was incredible.”
On Max Dowman: “He doesn’t seem 16 when he is playing, but he is unbelievable and to see him score a goal like that.
“You could see all the players celebrating with him. He is amazing, and I am so happy for him.
“We always try to find our ways, and we did it today as well.”
Social media users gave their reaction after Thierno Barry posts video of Everton fans attacking his friends during the Arsenal game…
@Pablocah7: Put ya arsenal supporting mates in the Everton end and can’t understand why this happened when they cheered the winner ? This man can’t understand life never mind playing football
@KUEFC: Our fans have made complete and utter tits out of themselves, what is the actual point in football when it makes people act like nobheads
@SavEliiz2014: Madness but how stupid to have your family and friends and celebrate Arsenal goals in any away end btw !
@jim_keoghan: I regularly sit in home sections for Everton away games. It’s on me to not act like a massive prick if we score. At the very least you’ve got to show a bit of respect
@Azzacj: Why is it male supporters have to get violent over who supports who ffs, I get that they shouldn’t of been in the away end n Barry should of known better but come on this is just thugs not being able to accept someone else celebrating cus their team lost 🤦🏻♂️
@RyEdwards91: Don’t condone it, but Thierno Barry and his mates are thick as fuck. If you’re sat with the away fans and you’re jumping up and down celebrating in our fans faces when Arsenal have scored, you can’t moan about getting filled in by Everton fans. Play silly games, win silly prizes.
@KopiteAndrew: If the rumour is true that they are his mates and are Arsenal fans and they celebrated then what did you expect was going to happen. Everyone will make Everton fans look bad but every other fan base would do the same, bar city as half there fans are Chelsea fans
@horgan_joe: He shouldn’t of given the tickets to them in the away end in the first place
@daleclarke1980: Don’t stick your Arsenal supporting mates in the Everton end then fucking 🤡
