A recent report has revealed which club’s supporters had the most arrests at football matches in the 2018/19 season.
The Home Office has released data, 193 matches had incidents relating to hate crime between August last year and the 31st of July 2019, a 47 per cent rise compared to 131 matches the year before.
79% of those hate crimes were related to race though it stated that the increase may be due to improvements in recording the data. The number of arrests for racist and ‘indecent’ chanting fell from 15 in the 2017/18 to 14 in 2018/19.
The most common types of offences were public disorder (38%) and violent disorder (19%).

Today’s arrest figures are a new low record.
In addition, the British Transport Police made 155 football-related arrests.
As of August 1st, 2019, 1771 banning orders were in force.
