A photo has gone viral on social media showing Swansea City ‘fans’ print of sheets of paper which was made to look like airline tickets with Emiliano Sala’s name on it.
It shows his name along with the flight number written, seat number, departure time, departure city, destination city and flight captain.
Swansea fans have printed these off ahead of the South Wales derby on Sunday? pic.twitter.com/OjildKfE49

The player sadly died after completing his medical at Cardiff, he returned to Nantes on Saturday the 19th of January, on a plane arranged by football agent Mark McKay.
He planned on returning to Cardiff on Monday the 21st of January and attend his first training session with the Bluebirds the following morning as well as Cardiff’s match against Newcastle United by manager Neil Warnock, but he returned to France to say goodbye to his Nantes teammates and collect personal belongings.
On the 21st of January, the aircraft, which was flying Sala from Nantes to Cardiff, disappeared off Alderney. The same aircraft and pilot had flown Sala to Nantes two days earlier. On the 23rd of January, Channel Islands Air Search reported that there was “no hope” of finding any survivors in the water.
Two subsequent private searches were launched, resulting in the discovery of the wreckage on 3 February; Sala’s body was recovered four days later.
Unfortunately since then we’ve seen some brainless ‘fans’ mock the tragedy.
Three football fans who made aeroplane taunts after the death of Emiliano Sala have been fined. The trio made the “abusive gestures” shortly after a minute’s silence in memory of the player at Southampton’s match against Cardiff in February.
In May 2019, two people were arrested after a picture purporting to show the post-mortem examination of Sala was posted on Twitter.
The footballer’s father, Horacio Sala, 58, died at his home in Progreso in Argentina’s Santa Fe province due to a heart attack three months after his son died.
It’s fair to say Sunday is going to get heated as most derbies do, but with this thrown into the mix, it will surely intensify.
Fans found out about the sick photo showing a fake airline ticket and expressed their shock and anger – see those tweets on the next page.
