Sunderland fans have slammed their side’s former player James McClean for his latest post on their playoff final defeat.
Lee Bowyer’s Charlton Athletic beat them 2-1 at Wembley over the Bank Holiday weekend to secure promotion back to the Championship.
However, the ever controversial McClean congratulated the Addicks which only infuriated supporters of his old club.
He simply wrote “Well done charlton” which then led the fans to send him abuse.
Well done charlton

His relationship with the club and fanbase turned sour when back in November 2017, the winger stated on Twitter that he is ashamed to have played for Sunderland.
I am ashamed to have played for your club too

Sunderland supporters on social media can take their anger out and mock McClean however it makes them feel better, but it will be him having the last laugh as he will look forward to welcoming the newly promoted Charlton to Stoke City next season.
Could the table turn? Will the Black Cats go up next season? Will Stoke suffer another poor season and end up going down?
After finding out James McClean’s congratulatory tweet towards Charlton on their playoff final against his former club Sunderland, fans took to give their reaction to what he had to say – find them out on the next page.
