VIDEO: Son Heung-min scores stunning solo goal for Spurs with run starting just outside his own box

Son scores stunning solo goal – that man Heung-min has made himself a goal of a season contender for Tottenham against Burnley today.

The South Korean started a run from outside his own box to completely glide past the whole Burnley squad, to then finish it off by putting the ball in the net.

It contributed to a first half that saw Spurs’ absolute domination over Burnley in the first half of their league match.

Kane broke the deadlock after just four minutes when he took aim from 25 yards and fired his side ahead with a beauty.

Shortly after, Lucas Moura doubled the scoreline when Sonny’s cross was deflected, Dele Alli headed it on and the ball fell to Moura who smashed in at the back post.

It should have been 3-0 on the 15th minute when Moussa Sissoko saw a path to goal open up… but he crashed a low shot against the post – and also a 60 seconds later when Alli raced clear with Sonny to his right but Burnley manage to dispossess the ball before he was able to shoot. Square it to Sonny and they would have been three up.

Then it was Burnley’s turn to hit the woodwork when Dwight McNeil’s cross from the left was headed against the bar by an unmarked Robbie Brady.

That was followed up by the already mentioned outstanding goal from Sonny, with his goal being summed up by the BBC as “Think Diego Maradona. Think George Weah. Think Lionel Messi.”

Harry Kane made it four on the 54th minute with another superb strike that went straight for the top corner. Too easy for Spurs.

The goals continued to come in with still plenty of time left on the clock. Moussa Sissoko picked up the ball around halfway down the pitch, drove forward and played a one-two with Harry Kane before curling into the bottom corner to secure all three points.

After watching Son Heung-min’s incredible solo goal for Tottenham against Burnley, fans, presenters and pundits took to express their delight to watch they just witnessed – see those tweets on the next page.
