Shocking footage sees police have puzzled Chelsea player Bakayoko held at gunpoint by mistake

Shocking footage emerges overnight which sees police have puzzled Chelsea player, Tiémoué Bakayoko, held at gunpoint by mistake out in Milan.

The 27 year old, who spent last season out on loan with AC Milan, was pushed up against the cop car, getting searched and arrested on a busy street by Italian police.

Luckily, after quite some time, another officer identified the Chelsea and AC Milan midfielder, releasing him just after discovering he wasn’t the man they were searching for.

The moment when the bald guy in the video below has something whispered in his ear, finding out that he is frisking a top footballer makes for just awkward viewing.

Eventually the cops realise the mistake, couldn’t hide their embarrassment and apologised to the player.

It comes just hours after reports claimed Bakayoko is expected to leave Chelsea this summer after agreeing to sign with Marseille, reports suggest.

The midfielder joined the Premier League outfit from Monaco in 2017 as the direct replacement for Nemanja Matic.

However, his £40million transfer soon turned sour as he failed to live up to his predecessor, flopped and was then loaned back to Monaco a year later.

Every season since, the 27-year-old has been out on loan, with Chelsea unable to find a permanent buyer for him.

However this finally looks to have changed, with Foot Mercato reporting Marseille have agreed personal terms to sign him.

Their agreement will reportedly see the Frenchman sign a four-year contract.

The only stumbling block on Marseille’s side comes in the form of new manager Igor Tudor, who is said to be blocking the transfer.

Bakayoko has had loan spells, twice with AS Monaco, while also spent time at Napoli once and also two spells with AC Milan, with his most recent spell seeing him lift the Serie A title last season.

However, due to him playing just 493 minutes of league football the club are considering cutting his two-year loan short, and Marseille are now interested to take them of their hands.

Chelsea have already seen a number of players leave the club this summer with the likes of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen leaving the club on free transfers, while Danny Drinkwater was among those on the club’s released list.

Romelu Lukaku has returned to Inter Milan on loan one year after his £97.5m transfer to Chelsea.

The Blues have since replaced them with Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly and brought in Omari Hutchinson from Arsenal, with more signings expected through the door in coming weeks.

Fans reacted as shocking footage emerges overnight which sees police have puzzled Chelsea player, Tiémoué Bakayoko, held at gunpoint by mistake…

@NatsAwuapila: Having spent a year in Florence, it’s not surprising to me where they assume every black guy seen on the streets to be some kinda of jobless and a criminal. Have had such bitter experiences myself where i faced such discriminations. Its sickening 😡

@acmilanyyc: Horrifying to hear the way bakayoko was treated by cops.

@nochdawe: The realization at the end though…

@alastair10: The ending was a bit like Brandon Williams on Christian Eriksen

@JoeHalford14: Bit naughty ain’t it

@Bxseez: I hate this country with passion.

@CescyTime: Disgusting.

@walegates: Nah, don’t just say “oops sorry”. You need to get sacked, cos if I move ‘wrong’ due to my innocence. My life is gone just bcos you started off misidentifying me.

@sheriff_lethabo: This is so racial in a stupid way

@ringletray: That is one of the most fucked up things. Why is she pointing the gun like that? And why does it make a difference if he’s a pro footballer? Does that mean a normal black guy would’ve been arrested otherwise? This needs investigating. So fucked up!

@GeorgeAnders007: The police racism common in the US is now in Italy with police harassing a black driver only to realise is an AC Milan Football club player and French National Tiemoue Bakayoko. I bet, this could have turned different if it was someone ordinary.

@clinicalchilly: The sad thing is he’s most likely being detained because he’s black

@zeegunner1: Last 5 seconds the bald one finding out who he is…

@tremcol48: To be fair it’s not the first time he’s been mistakenly taken for someone else… Chelsea mistakenly took him for a footballer once…

@LFCNorwayhey:
Totally disgusting
Totally unsurprising

@joshkazz: They will still have jobs tomorrow. The cycle will never end

@Mo_Man97: Nah let Bakayoko leave man Wtf is this

@ForeverAYellow: imagine just casually living your life, driving through Milan and then this happens out of nowhere, gun pointed at you, then detained by officers and you have no clue why, then they let you go because you look like another black guy police are actually meant to be going for
