Sheffield Wednesday fans slam Keiren Westwood for what he did after the final whistle

Sheffield Wednesday fans slam Keiren Westwood for what he did after the final whistle in the 0-0 draw with Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

The Owl’s chances of avoiding relegation from the Championship remain in the balance after they were held to a bore draw at Hillsborough.

There were few clear-cut chances in a tight encounter, though Lewis Grabban missed the game’s best chance when he saw his penalty saved by the Wednesday keeper, who had given away the spot-kick after a foul on Anthony Knockaert.

The stalemate means Darren Moore’s men move three points from safety, though their relegation to League One which they knew would be confirmed that afternoon if Derby avoid defeat against Swansea. Forest, meanwhile, climbed above Birmingham into 16th in the Championship table.

As soon as the full time whistle blew, Sheffield Wednesday fans and those of other clubs were quick to slam Keiren Westwood for what he did after the final whistle whilst other Owls players were slamming their fists against the pitch in frustration at knowing what that result possibly meant. Harsh considering he saved a penalty, or should he still be reeling with the result?
