It has been revealed that mega Sheffield Wednesday fan Paul Gregory, widely known as Tango, was ejected out of his side’s Carabao Cup tie at Rotherham United last night.
He attended the match along with his wife, but ended up getting themselves removed from the New York Stadium after failing to sit down.

He said, as quoted by The Star: “The stewards came round and said to me ‘sit down or you will be escorted out’. I was really surprised because everyone around me was standing up so why was I any different?
“I walked over to speak to him later and told him, with everything that’s going on with Bury and Bolton at the moment, that football fans should be pulling together.”

He revealed his shock at noticing his wife getting dragged out by the neck, many other fans backed up that she was treated roughly.
“If I have done something wrong then I will hold my hands up, but to act like this towards a woman is disgusting, I have never seen anything like it,” he said.
“I was gobsmacked. She’s still very shaken up about it and it could have really hurt her and it just gives me more bad press.
“We travel home and away with Sheffield Wednesday and England and we never have a problem. I can’t explain the rhyme or reason for their actions.
“I don’t go anywhere to cause trouble, I just want to have a laugh. I’m a football person and not a trouble maker.”

He states that he witnessed his wife/Girlfriend getting manhandled as she was being escorted from the ground, but the video shows her getting removed after him. How could he see this has he got eyes in the back of his head.

Paul s a very loyal fan, the old type of fan, who gets the crowd going. I also live in the West Midlands and I know how difficult it must be for him and his family to follow Wednesday. Every match is an away match for him! He is no trouble causer, Rotherham Stewards should be ashamed, why didn’t the remove other fans who were standing?
