Sheffield Wednesday delete ‘fat’ photo of Adam Reach on Instagram during Everton defeat

Sheffield Wednesday have deleted a picture of Adam Reach on Instagram during their Carabao Cup defeat to Everton.

Garry Monk made eight changes to his squad that drew 0-0 with Fulham at the weekend and Reach was one that managed to keep his place.

As many clubs do on social media, they post in-game photos taken by the photographer, however one of them ended up getting taken off.

That was after many fans commented that the angle of it was unflattering with many mocking how much ‘timber’ he was carrying.

After the game where Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored a brace to set Everton up with a tie against Watford, Garry Monk said: “A lot of our performance offensively and defensively were very good,” he said.

“The only times we really got hurt were through our own mistakes where a cheap ball that we gave away or a loose pass or not quite holding the ball when we need to hold it, they broke on us.

“I thought we recovered well and offensively we created enough opportunities to score a couple of goals and had we taken them we’d have been alright.

“It’s about creating that mentality that we’re going to push and fight and show that commitment. You saw that against Fulham and I think you saw that tonight. That’s what you need.”

As mentioned, fans quickly took to mock the ‘fat’ photo of Adam Reach during his game against Everton – see what they had to say on the next page.
