‘Send this to Rob and Ryan’ – A new video of how Wrexham’s redeveloped stadium could look wows fans this week.

Bondibot, who have 88.3k subscribers, produced a five minute clip showing what may be in store for the Racecourse Ground in the near future.

In it is a 3D architectural animation imagining the redevelopment, with Bondibot saying: “Could the Racecourse Ground become one of the most iconic modern grounds in British football?

“In this video, we visualize a complete, ground-up redevelopment of Wrexham AFC’s historic home. We take a look at how a full transformation of the Kop, the Wrexham Lager Stand, the Macron Stand, and the University End could push the stadium well past 30,000 seats.

“Check out the design, see how it fits into the surrounding neighborhood, and tell us: would this be a worthy fortress for Wrexham in the top flight?”

@MattG824824: That’s awesome. Absolutely love it. Is it weird that part of me is sad at the thought of everything getting so much bigger and more commercialized, with more and more tourists from all over the globe? I just hope we never lose the authenticity of Wrexham

@HaSsyLFC6267: What is the capacity? A 35-40k capacity be good for Wrexham. The town’s urban population is around 45k. But the county has a population of around 140k. It’s one club region. So they’ll be able to feel stadium up.

@StoutGuy29: Rob said once he wanted to set the capacity to the Town’s population, but Michael Williamson (CEO) has stated multiple times that the final plan is for 32k

@EmmanuelRiviere9: Reynolds wants 55k, but I think they should make it 42k. That’s about the standard capacity for a premier league club

@PaddyPower_IRL: The best mockup I have seen. Good job. I would think that The turf will get an expansion to its beer garden area but the idea of roofing it in looks like it could work well.
No fan entrances around the facades would be an issue but thats a small point.

@LeonEdwards-qo5fx: I’m a Swansea fan and I’ve got nothing against Wrexham what so ever but if they do make new stands after the kop is done I got to say it looks up to date and probably be one of the biggest capacity Stadiums in Wales depending what the capacity is once it’s all been redeveloped pretty impressive nevertheless…

@mox_wxm: Love what you did with the Mold Road Stand! But you missed a trick on the Lager Stand. No way that block of flats at the back is there in 5 years. Club will buy & demolish it to make way for a 10k seat stand on that side of the pitch. And the remaining block of flats (nearest to Crispin Lane) will be converted into offices or a hotel. Terrific aesthetic vision though!

@kevindavies-dr1zi: The Turf needs moving, full stop. Before anyone gets on their high horse and drones on about history, blah blah blah it can be removed quite easily these days and moved in one piece to a more suitable location nearby. I was born a 300 yard golf drive away from the Racecourse and lived within 4 miles of it for the next 54 years so I know the sentiment attached to The Turf. It would still be exactly the same pub with all it’s history if it was moved, say to where the new Wrexham lager brewery is planned to go or even just move it slightly closer to town, maybe to the corner of Crispin Lane/ Mold Road? What I do know is that it’s slap bang in the middle of ever making the Mold Rd stand anything much bigger. I know that a stand can be built over the Turf but not without blocking out all the light to it

@mark123655: Possibly if they build out the sheds on the other side of the railway lines , a moved Turf could be the entrance pavilion to that.

@the_one1001: Only thing i’d add, is the corners need filling in, they would give them even more capacity and just why the hell not…
