Sean Morrison’s foul-mouthed video on Richard Keogh resurfaces on social media as the player leaves Cardiff City eight years after he joined.
He waves goodbye to the Bluebirds following the expiration of his return-to-play contract, the Championship outfit confirmed.
He joined back in 2014 and played 295 matches, while also sealing promotion to the Premier League in the 2017/18 season.
The 31 year old picked up a ACL injury back in February 2022 and had surgery to sort the problem, with his contract running out in the summer, during his rehab and recovery.
He since played a number of games for the under-21s side as he kept working on his fitness, with Mark Hudson previously saying he had talks over the player’s future… and now it seems the time to call it a day has come as he leaves Cardiff.

After eight and a half years in the Welsh Capital and six seasons during that time as Cardiff City club captain, Sean Morrison will leave the Bluebirds this January.
Synonymous with City’s 2017/18 promotion triumph (after which he was named Bluebirds Player of the Season) and Premier League efforts the following year, Moz departs having made 295 League and Cup appearances and scored 33 goals as a centre-half. His contribution, personality and effort will rightly see his name forever etched amongst the great leaders in Cardiff City’s history.
Having fully rehabilitated from a serious knee injury incurred in February 2022, Moz will continue his playing career elsewhere with our sincerest thanks and best wishes, a sentiment we know will be shared by Bluebirds supporters.
Speaking to cardiffcityfc.co.uk, Bluebirds Chairman Mehmet Dalman said: “Few clubs will be fortunate enough to have a captain with the qualities of Sean for such a sustained and largely successful period of time. Today is etched with sadness as we say farewell, but also an opportunity for us to look back with great fondness on Sean’s time with us and what he achieved. He will rightly be held in the highest esteem at Cardiff City as a club legend forever more and will always be welcomed back with our warmest wishes.”
City Boss, Mark Hudson added: “Sean’s impact during his time at Cardiff City has been huge. He has been a major influence at this Club. A real leader on and off the pitch. He created an amazing environment in every dressing room he led, and was welcoming to all staff and players that came in. I want to say thank you to him and we wish him all the very best going forward.”
Mozza added: “No amount of words will be ever be enough to tell you what this Club means and will always mean to me. The last eight and a half years have been filled with some of the most incredible moments and memories. To every staff member and player I’ve ever had the joy of working with, thank you. You’ve made me a better person and I’ve treasured every moment. To the most incredible fans, my biggest thank you is to you. You are the heartbeat of Cardiff City. I always gave 100% and I leave proud and honoured to have had the opportunity to play so many games for this wonderful Club. Good luck for the future, Bluebirds.”
– STATEMENT ENDS –
News of his exit at Cardiff had brought back some memories of his time with the Bluebirds, one was a well known video that has emerged online.
The video from April 2018 showed Morrison seemingly taunting Keogh along with a number of other Derby County players with footballers including Alex Pearce and Jason Shackell.
However WalesOnline claim the players were friends at the time and that the video was exchanged in a private players’ WhatsApp group intending to be banter between them.
In the video, he says: “Alright Richie. Just want to say mate, you’re a mug.
“You run ‘oh give me the ball, yeah I really want the ball and then I get the ball and dribble as fast as I can 10 yards and then just cut back into the other centre-half ‘cos I’m s*** at football.
“‘Oh I’m a good centre-half, oh I’m good at football’ — no you’re not. Pearcey is up your a***. Alex Pearce, so far up your a*** it’s an embarrassment.
“Shackell as well. Doesn’t show his d***, little insecure c***, little tiny d***.
“And you’re all scared of playing us, see you in a couple of weeks you b***.”
Sean Morrison’s left Cardiff after 8 and a half seasons!
Never forget his message for Richard Keogh… 😅🤣

This is wha Twitter users said as Sean Morrison’s foul-mouthed video on Richard Keogh resurfaces as the player leaves Cardiff…
ON HIS EXIT
@paulbond86: Crazy decision not to re-sign moz. Can only think it’s because of the embargo and needing the last squad place for a striker. If is the case should’ve been offered s contract months ago.
@christ1ant0b: Been integrated back into the squad and playing again just to let him go? Another backwards decision from the board
@KieranPacker7: Should of kept him! Needed his leadership skills going in to important few months for the future of this club. We won’t survive as a club if the worst happens.
@Matthewsaaaur: Devastated tbh. Was checking the team sheet every week as he was getting minutes in the reserves with hope that he’d be back in the team and eventually to take over the captaincy. No disrespect to Ralls but he’s not a natural leader and thats something we lack. All the best Sean 😢
@ap_ccfc: One of the best servants CCFC ever had, always gave 100% and will forever be regarded as a Bluebird. Dioch Skipper and the very best for the future
@Groundhopperpa: Come on Plymouth Argyle @SimonHallett make it happen
@CRea_001: @Official_STFC get him home
@Bluebird131999: Not sure what the huge uproar is, he’s recovering from serious knee injury and wouldn’t be guaranteed a start here. Plus reading the article it appears as if he’s had offers elsewhere, so suspect he’s probably had a better offer where he’s guaranteed a start (poss in Lge 1).
@matthewjamesali: So yet another club legend bites the dust. Just the way things are done at CCFC. Thank you for everything skipper 🫡
@glennhero2013: Shocking decision a leader we desperately need right now
@twmlew: For fuck sake like get this board out of the club! Dalman and Choo are completely fucking this club up!
@Olliebluebirds: Our loss is someone else’s gain… good luck skip 💙
ON THAT VIDEO
@dougCPFC: What a weird guy
@NWPool09: Why’s he made a video talking about other guy’s diicks? Definitely a willy watcher this one
@ryan__scfc: pathetic chav
@dan_masonn01: Keoghs better then Morrison ever was btw
@DanielB98109937: And then they lost to derby 😂
@MuespachRamL: A right knob….and how did that game go..? Ha ha. (But to be fair to him he is spot on about the disaster that is Keogh)
@dilwynjohn1927: All the best Shagger Sean!!! Captain fantastic
@kianjamesx: My skipper 💙
@lucaspafc: Morrison vs Keogh round 2 on the 14th @Argyle get him in
