Time to check out the latest promotions, relegations and the non league playoff semi final results as they got underway in midweek.
Fulham went into their game against Nottingham Forest knowing that they needed to better Bournemouth’s result to win the Championship title. At half time, both of the top two were losing, and Forest’s victory meant they go two points behind the Cherries with two games remaining.
Swansea were 2-0 up against Bournemouth by half time, Cyrus Christie made it 3-0 in the 57th minute, but Bournemouth then scored two in 10 minutes to really make it a tense finale.
The comeback was then complete in the 90th minute, Kieffer Moore fired in from close range to level it up with injury time to play out.
Wigan Athletic’s promotion to the Championship was put on ice again. Goals from Callum Lang and Will Keane put them 2-0 up against Portsmouth by half time. But Pompey’s George Hirst hit back, getting two goals in two minutes tow make it 2-2 by the 64th minute.
Substitute Aiden O’Brien then scored in the 87th minute, finding the bottom corner to make it 3-2 Pompey.
Fleetwood Town gave Sheffield Wednesday a scare when going from a goal down to then put themselves 2-1 up at half time, though the Owls knew that a defeat would be a missed opportunity to go into the playoffs ahead of the last game of the season, so they went on second half and got an equaliser thanks to Lee Gregory’s second of the night before minutes later he completed a hat-trick and got Sheffield Wednesday leading for the second time in the game.
The result also meant that Doncaster Rovers and AFC Wimbledon (both not playing) are all but officially relegated from League One
Fleetwood remain 20th and level on points with Gillingham, who occupy the final relegation spot.
In League Two, Exeter’s Kieran Phillips cancelled out Barrow’s opener and knew by half time that they needed to win the game in order to secure promotion to League One, a division they hadn’t played in since 2011.
With 12 minutes remaining, the Grecians got the moment that could guaranteed them League Two promotion as Matt Jay smashed home what proved to be the winner.
Brent Pilnick (BBC Sport at St James Park) said: “You know when you shake a bottle of fizzy pop and eventually turn the cap and get doused in drink – that’s the atmosphere here at St James Park.
“Exeter have been poor in this second half, but one moment of class might’ve sealed it.
“Josh Key’s cross from the right evaded everyone bar top scorer and homegrown hero Matt Jay, and the Exeter skipper controlled brilliantly before blasting home right-footed.
“It could well be a busy night in Exeter’s pubs tonight.”

Weymouth were relegated from the National League after lowly Aldershot Town drew 1-1 with Bromley. Just minutes before full time, it was the Shots winning which meant King’s Lynn would have also been down.
