In this article, we check out the Premier League outright Title Winner, Top Four and Relegation odds during the March international break.
It’s been quite the season so far, and as we enter the closing stages of it, there is still a huge amount at stake with it potentially all going down to the final day, or even beyond depending points deductions yet to be handed out.
Manchester City, Liverpool, and Arsenal are expected to compete for the title, while the battle for fourth place seems to be between Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur.
Manchester City’s triumph in securing their third consecutive title last season has resulted in the current Premier League odds heavily favouring them.
However, as the saying goes, football is an unpredictable sport and despite Man City being the favorites in Premier League betting, anything can occur. This season, it appears that we have a clear top five contenders. Manchester City, Liverpool, and Arsenal are poised to compete for the title, while the battle for fourth place seems to be a direct showdown between Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur. Although Manchester United is making efforts to break into the top six, they currently trail Aston Villa by nine points in fourth position.
Despite finishing fourth in the standings last season, the bookies think there’s little chance that Newcastle will qualify for the Champions League once again.
However, the Villans are close to odds-on after securing a return of 56 points from 28 games played. Their home form has been especially strong this season.
Chelsea’s unexpected finish in the bottom half of the Premier League table last season was a new low for them. This season, they are currently in 11th place with 39 points from 27 games with a gap of 17 points from fourth place.
The outlook looks especially bleak for the Blades and Clarets, who are eight and five points adrift of safety respectively.
However, Luton are scrapping hard against the drop and were replaced in the relegation zone by Nottingham Forest on the 18th of March after the latter were docked four-point deduction for breaching the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules. The East Midlands club are thought likely to appeal against the sanction.
