Premier League clubs publish their 2025/26 retained, released and free agents lists now that it’s the summer transfer window.
Teams in the top flight and in the EFL will be looking to strengthen and replace those injured or in need of a boost with some names looking to secure themselves a new club to call home for the foreseeable future.
Retained lists are being released across the top four professional tiers, which will see a huge number of free agents into the summer transfer market.

The Premier League’s summer 2026 transfer window will officially open on Monday 15 June and close on Tuesday 1 September at 23:00 BST.
Please note, players who will be signified as a “free transfer” or “released” will have their contracts expire on 30 June 2026 but could still remain at that club if a new contract is entered into, so this list should not be seen as definitive for players leaving their club.
Please also note a player’s status may have changed since the lists were submitted.
