PHOTO: Ipswich’s Luke Chambers bizarrely grabs the crotch of Norwich’s Ben Godfrey

A photo has appeared on social media in the last 24 hours which shows a footballer of Ipswich Town grab the crotch of a player from his opposition.

The moment came curing the heated scenes when the two sides met in the East Anglian Derby on Sunday afternoon, which saw police having to hold back the Tractor Boys boss Paul Lambert as he was getting sent off.

Whilst the players of both sides came together on the sidelines before those on the benches got involved in the heated scenes, Luke Chambers did a Vinnie Jones and held the balls of Norwich’s Ben Godfrey.

Chambers also won praise on social media for ‘assisting’ Lambert whilst he was caught up in the melee…

It came on the stroke of half time with Norwich going into the break at 1-0 up.

The opening goal of the game came just two minutes in when Norwich got the ball forward and Onel Hernandez swooped in to put the Canaries ahead.

Half way through the second half, Teemu Pukki made it 2-0 before poking in a third ten minutes from time for his 20th Championship goal of the season.

It meant that Norwich overtook Leeds United at the top of the Championship table as the Whites grabbed a late equaliser to draw with Middlesbrough on Saturday.

With Ipswich losing the game, it saw them remain rock bottom of the league and nine points from safety.
