Owner of League One club hits out at West Ham co-owners Gold and Sullivan after hitting out at Karren Brady on his Twitter account.
Peterborough owner Darragh MacAnthony was far from happy when she controversially suggested that the season should be declared ‘null and void’.
MacAnthony wondered whether David Gold and David Sullivan, would have ‘liked’ the article which was written by Brady.
He said: “Wonder if Gold/Sullivan would have liked this article written if West Ham were sitting 3rd in the Premier League at moment. Absolute nonsense article.”

Brady wrote: “There is no dodging the possibility that all levels in the EFL, as well as the Premier League, will have to be cancelled and this season declared null and void because if the players can’t play the games can’t go ahead.”
“The Premier League hopes that an interlude of three weeks from now will enable it to restart but that may well be dreamland. Perhaps scrubbing Euro 2020 could provide more time to complete the season into the summer but that is also a giant ‘if’. What if the league cannot be finished?
“As games in both the Premier League and in the EFL are affected, the only fair and reasonable thing to do is declare the whole season null and void. Who knows who would have gone down or come up if the games have not actually been played in full?”
Brady added it would be: “a huge blow to Liverpool, who might be robbed of their first title in 30 years,” and that it would cause financial issues for many clubs, and the possibility of legal battles over relegation, promotion and European places.
“There are, of course, financial implications, wages and transfer debts must be paid and there is lost broadcast revenue, lost matchday income but this pales into insignificance as the health and wellbeing of everyone must come first,” Brady added.
“Further down the [football] pyramid, the greater the threat to future existence. But I suspect that by hook or by crook, most will survive.”
Jamie Carragher has ridiculed the suggestion from Karren Brady that the Premier League season should be ‘voided’ amid the coronavirus pandemic. Piers Morgan chose to support her.
Have a look at Klopp’s comments compared to Karren Brady’s ?♂️ Whats fair is to finish the season for teams in every league when the ⚽️ is allowed to start again. The ⚽️ authorities found a way to put a World Cup in the middle of a season so I’m sure they can sort next season out. https://t.co/Oe1risTTwc

Fans gave their reaction as the owner of the League One club makes his claim about West Ham ‘s co-owners…
If its null and void they wont mind giving supporters back all their money they've spent on the season

It's almost like they're in relegation trouble & don't want games being finished isn't it…

Do you expect any better from Brady?

Spot on Darragh. Only said this because West Ham battling relegation & would lose millions if they went down.

Look at the paper shes writing for that tells you what she is mate

I take it West Ham won’t be asking for the 100 million + in end of season shared money then as the leagues not completed ?♂️

Says the charlton fan who will avoid relegation. Declaring the season void is as unfair to teams at the top, as finishing the season as it is now is, to the teams at the bottom. How about prioritising finishing a season 85% complete over a new season which hasn’t even started yet

I think they should relegate West Ham on the strength of this article

As a Hammer, i do agree Darragh. She's only saying it because we may/are going down. I'm surprised it's not happened when we have had a brilliant season as that's normally our luck!

Brady wants season voiding because West Ham on current form go down. Clubs will sue at top of championship if promotion is prevented. It’s an absolute shambles
— CJ Parker (@cerileedsfan) March 14, 2020
The woman's a clown. It would cost clubs outside the prem millions and a lot of clubs could go under as a result.
