For those who still are unsure on what this is all about, it’s a knockout tournament with every loss resulting in elimination until only two teams remain for the final.

It’s been set up by Leyton Orient to raise money to help clubs who financially need it, but also for charity and to help find a way to find a cure for Coronavirus. Over £56,300 has been raised so far by 194 supporters.

The O’s clarified that each club, most from the Premier League and EFL, will choose a representative to play and it could be anyone from a first-team player to a supporter. The likes of Andros Townsend, Neal Maupay and Todd Cantwell all entered.

There has been some backlash to letting pro FIFA players representing teams, with many fans saying that it ruined the fun of it.

Two pros are in tonight’s final, but whilst the anticipation builds for it, a new tournament is being created with UK teams represented by footballers only. Over 30 sides has signed up for that, we’ll have a date and draw for that when it happens.
