Marc McNulty issues an explosive rant at his Reading and boy did he not hold back with his views criticising them in an interview.
The 29 year old striker slams his parent club while out on loan at Dundee United after lacking game time at the Berkshire outfit since making the move to Royals in 2018 from Coventry.
He has made just 17 appearances at Reading in almost four years and has had loan spells at Hibernian (twice), Sunderland and Dundee United (twice) while contracted with the Royals.

McNulty is expected to get released in the summer when his dealw ith Reading expires, however the forward has seemingly already talked himself into no way of going back to his main employers.
“My contract is finally up in the summer so who knows what will happen, but it’s a relief to be the one in charge of my future now,” he told the Scottish Daily Express.
“You can look at it two ways, there’s the stress of being out of contract and not having a club.
“I might end up working as a cleaner here at St Andrew’s, you don’t know! But for me… I’m just glad it’s going to be over and I don’t have to go back down there.
“I would probably be happy to be unemployed than go through that… again.
“I have talked about it before and, at some point, I will come out and say exactly what’s gone on but it’s not how you should run football clubs or deal with players who show you respect.
“It’s not a nice place, you can see that with results – a lot of managers come and go and a lot of players come and go.
“It’s not ideal, chopping and changing managers and having to train with youth teams – I’ve seen it all in football but how they run their club is for someone else to worry about.
“I will be delighted when it’s up and can try to go somewhere I am valued and wanted.”
McNulty is one of 13 senior players on Reading’s books whose deals are up at the end of the season.
The Scotland international, who has only played eight games this season after picking up a hamstring injury at Dundee United, managed just one goal for Royals which came in December 2018.

Twitter users reacted as Marc McNulty issues explosive rant at Reading, see what was tweeted below…
@ReadingFCheroes: Marc McNulty should just go back to betting on football matches #readingfc
@ReadingFC150: He wasn’t very good at that either
@lankylibero14: The feelings mutual.
@ReadingFC150: He can jog on. 3 managers decided he wasn’t good enough. Not 1 Not 2 but 3 of them. Scottish football is about his limit and that’s stretching it.
@snoopythepilot: Missing the penalty at Leeds, unforgivable
@Harrypy57: But the wages weren’t too bad though.
@dinglouis_: Bye then
@JH7123: Not all moves work out. We probably could have treated him better but he could have worked out a mutual release at any time. The fact that he was happy to take his wages and wind down his contract says it all about him.
@mrchrisr91: Or we could have not have offered him an outrageous 4 year deal on arrival…
@A42Day: are we about to see another club statement, maybe stating they offered him his release like 50 times over the last few years when it became overly apparent to each manager that we’d bought a pup… as I am sure they have and he’s just too happy to take the cash.
@chunnb: Entitled to his opinion, painfully obvious from the outset he was not Championship class. Worrying that he is not the only ex-player to mention toxicity at the club.
@dpiinteriors: If only he was a baller that could of made a bit of a difference for us!! The real issue is who is in charge of recruiting??? Do we even have a scouting team anymore….
@sjrumble: Happy to take his money every week tho. If it’s that bad why did he sign for us in the first place. Anyway s**t player anyway. Proberly upset that he wasn’t good enough to be at our club. #readingfc
@hambidgerobin1: Even with the state of our club still don’t want him now useless player
@webber1871: He can fuck off anyway
@BenAxon2: poor guy on 30 grand a week, feel awful for him. thoughts are with you in these hard times x
@Neal_Huss: Ps. None of us fans want you to come back. Probably up there with our top 5 worst signings
@lee118613: Why didn’t he just cancel his contract? That way he’d have been in control of his own destiny? Oh yeah, he wanted to take Dai’s money
@SeanMobsby: Not the first time an ex player has come out about how bad the club is behind the scenes. Bereft of dignity, class, honour, honestly. We have wholly become a club we would all despise were it not our own. Money corrupts unfortunately, we got the billionaire we begged for. McNulty was a poor signing no doubt, and if he wanted to “control” his own future he could have requested a release. But still, if this were a one off I’d give the club the benefit of the doubt but the powers that be make a lot of enemies inside the building and that’s a bad sign
@mrblthomas: Pretty sure nothing brings the #readingfc fanbase together more than Marc McNulty 😂
@ProbablyADick: That we were going to be able to cancel his contract when he got nicked for betting was the most excitement he ever provided to the Reading fanbase. And even that ended in disappointment.
@JimNo1871: Probably doesn’t help that he’s not a very good football player
@RobboSanj: I’m in no doubt what he’s saying in true, however as he’s spent no time at Reading since his first season he’s been allowed to effectively leave the club. Some signings don’t work out, fact. What is more concerning is that his comments are true.
@snoopythepilot: Good riddance
Maybe be better at football
