Norwich fans set off fireworks around where Leeds were staying in a bid to disrupt them before the Championship playoff fixture.
A number of videos were shared on social media with it claimed that Norwich fans were lighting and firing off the fireworks with loud bangs going off outside Sprowston Manor, where their opponents were lodging the night.
The game had a Sunday lunchtime kick off, so Daniel Farke’s team decided to spend the night there to ensure they are well-prepared.
It seems though Norwich fans tried their best to disrupt Leeds with a fireworks show in the hours of the morning. Take a look at the videos below…

The game itself failed to explode into life with Norwich and Leeds playing a goalless draw.
Wilfried Gnonto saw calls of a first-half penalty waved away while Junior Firpo had a goal ruled out for offside; and Josh Sargent, Gabriel Sara missed good chances.
Norwich manager David Wagner told BBC Radio Norfolk:
“It’s a result I can totally live with. My team worked really hard, started on the front foot and were brave to get the crowd behind us.
“I know how good this result can be in the play-offs, so it’s game on. Both teams neutralised each other, especially offensively, and I was fine with how focussed and concentrated the players were.
“The cards are still on the table and we’ll play for it. Nobody expected this semi-final to be decided after the first leg.
“I haven’t spoken with him [Josh Sargent] or the medical department but he wasn’t able to carry on. He has problems with his ankle but he’s a tough guy and I don’t think it’s a big issue for Thursday.”
Leeds manager Daniel Farke told BBC Radio Leeds:
“In a semi-final over two legs, to get an away draw and a clean sheet, especially at a difficult ground, is always a good and solid result. I’m happy with the performance and the result.
“The last games in the regular season were not that great in terms of results and conceding goals after many clean sheets during the season. We wanted to be rock-solid today and didn’t allow them one chance.
“The longer the game went, the more control we had over the game, so we gained more confidence, especially in the second half, when we had lots of pressure and they defended really well.
“The momentum was more and more on our side and it looked like the goal was coming but you also have to make sure you’re not over-motivated and leave spaces for counter-attacks.
“For our chances, the decision-making in and around the box could have been better.”
Twitter users gave their reaction after seeing Norwich fans set off fireworks where Leeds were staying in bid to disrupt them before the Championship playoff semi final first leg fixture…
@OneLeedsFC: Doesn’t matter mate, all wear eye masks and earbuds. Up the Whites.
@biteyerlegs70: Oh dear… you have certainly set the tone for the second leg with that.. 🤣🤣🤣
@AllLeedsTV: Has this ever worked in any relms? Normally, you see this, and that team gets rolled over
@kevingaff: Good. Hopefully wake our lads up
@davemcdavemc: Maybe you should try painting the changing rooms pink
@Harryhatch: Probably celebrating another brother sister wedding
@madmidweeker: It’s amazing they can use a lighter with all those extra fingers in the way.
@joeodd: How the fuck do they light them with 6 thumbs?
@richardboxy: Hope your team coach has reinforced windows on Thursday!!! 😆😆
@armo1972: Can you set more off during the game to wake our lads up
@xneil40: They do realise they have to come up to Leeds don’t they ?
@lufcalexx: city elite 😂
@wooner69: Not the brightest thing to do with the away trip to Elland Road, Wednesday.
@joshlufc91: Any ideas where Norwich are staying Wednesday night? 👀
@ivolution93: Hopefully it has woken us up.. The players have been asleep for weeks
@BakkeTheNet: It’s generous of them to think that this was needed, as if we’re not capable of throwing away important games independently without any support from others.
@_ed19: Nice one. Set the tone for the second leg 😃
@aarons1308: Has this ever happened and actually worked? Like the team that’s been woken up then gets battered the next day or has a really shite game #lufc
@NCFC_Nick: Never understood this TBH
@ShakeyStephens: Bet Leeds are shitting it now
@LUFCxRobbo: Not realising most hotel windows are made of thicker glass to limit outside noise and help guests sleep.
@MacIsBack_93: Always find it funny how often this doesn’t actually work 😂 might actually help us, the players looked like the needed waking up the last few weeks
@LUFC_Henry: In fairness, our players need a rocket up the arse
@jack_cym: Because this always works in their favour 👀
@LUFCLivin: oh no! not the city elite 🫣
