After learning of the news that Wakefield United have no choice but to fold, a huge amount of fans expressed sadness with lots hoping it wouldn’t be the last time they saw of them…
This is a shame. We've followed your journey with great interest and are excited to share your story in our next issue.
Hopefully this isn't the last we'll see of you.

That's a great shame , I was looking forward to owning and wearing a Home shirt

Really sorry to hear this. Well done on raising awareness and standing up for refugees and asylum seekers. ❤

Sad news, but hats off to you all the same in trying to make a difference and supporting refugees in the region. Hopefully something will turn around.

I’ve been at many teams who’ve struggled in similar ways and I know it’s absolutely gutting. For anyone, players or staff, who are left with nowhere to continue with football @cowfcofficial currently have open doors and will welcome you with open arms ⚜️⚽️❤️

The huge response from the public continued with them making their feelings known towards the council…
That is a fucking travesty. Hopefully a more forward-thinking council can believe in your project, and make it happen in the future.

Gutted! Wakefield Council are morally bankrupt. Is heading towards Leeds an option? As a larger city they may be more outward looking.

What a shame to read about this. Bringing people + cultures together through football is a beautiful thing to hear just a shame local councils / Lottery funds etc aren't willing to help people in this situation.

It’s amazing how many local clubs have said this. Sad state of affairs really.

Really sorry to hear this, it's a brilliant idea and should have been proudly supported by the council at the very least.
